As we end the year 2025 it's a natural time for reflection on achievements, lessons learned, and memories made. For me, this year was all about moving to Breda. Searching and finding (in our eyes) the best new home possible still feels like a dream. 

Musically it was a year with ups and downs. I loved to give rebith to my Evolve series and the AREA 030 sets are still carrying me home to myself. The last one of this year is called ‘One Last Touch’, with some tracks that are sooooo good, they will be in our 2025 Story, together with my partner in crime @Letel. Watch out for that one in 2026!

TranceSharing #45 Over The Rainbow

Erwin Rietbergen (the man behind Rewintrance) was born in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 1969. Since an early age he listened to the weekly Soul Show and offcourse In The Mix by Ben Liebrand. After Ben’s first Grandmix in 1983 he knew for sure: this is what he wanted to do. Starting with just one turntable with pitchcontrol he learned the hard way. Many import records later, bought at the famous ‘Kareltje’ in Utrecht, he finally owned two Technics SL-1200. This gave a boost to his dj-skills. 
His first broadcoast on national radio was in 1988 in a program called ‘Dance Tracks’ (the follow up of Soul Show) with a remix of Michael Jackson’s Dirty Diana. More mixing skills were  broadcasted on the famous radioshow from Robin Albers (Jaydee), who promoted the Dutch DJ scene with ‘Avro’s Drie Maal Doordraai’. In 1992 Erwin (with the nickname DJ Dr Nameless) reached the finals of the Dutch House DJ Contest, together with Tijs Verwest (yes, Tiësto himself), DJ Pavo and winner Bass-D. 
After working as a DJ in Spain in 1994 he came to a crossroad. Instead of following his heart, he chose for a more secure career with a better financial perspective. Time passes by, just like life, but his passion for mixing never faded. Instead of playing for big crowds, he now finds his audience online and from now and then at small parties. His broad taste for dance music varies between house, progressive and uplifting trance. As Rewintrance he tries to share the most important thing: his unconditional love for trance.
