Yay! A new old Oak Tree...

Good man Ted,

Like the random one that just fell as a seed
An Oak in the garden rooted for you

So we dug it up
Now on its second pot
To me it's now a heir loom 'got

2023 while covid madness thawed
Since then we've smiled at it everyday

My son Ted 5 (Theodore) is so brilliant... He loves nature. He is fascinted by plants and insects and well everything really (Just like his Da (:)
One day 23rd Feb '23, so he's just over 4 then..... he ran over to me in the garden smile ear to ear. Dada look at this... He had found an acorn rooted behind our strawberry patch... He was happy with that... So knowing it wouldn't survive the lawnmower or the rabbit I dug it up with him and we potted it and are keeping it alive. It made me think straight away what a cool thing it would be to try and keep alive together. maybe mould a deeper appreciation for life at the right age for both of us. Though he obviously has that in abundance already. idk It's amazing! I actually appreciate life better seeing the way he appreciates it. The freshness of him discovering a spider or millipede for the first rime. He's quite the entomologist. Most days we get smiles from the tree  born from his innocence and love of learning. The perfect planet

Matilda my Daughter ad lib sings with me over this and she started the song by playing two tuning forks in a melody Matilda imagined. Precious. We just made it last night ❤️

Matilda picked 528Hz and 639Hz tuning forks although I did suggest they'd sound good together haha. Interestingly she found the 38 bpm too... Which is very cool as slow tempos are harder to get comfortable with maybe.

You might ask why the melancholic music for such a happy thing! Not sure... I can never really explain that... I usually just settle on blaming Thom Yorke but... This is The Beautiful Dark... And we're making light... thats all... but it's also oh so oh so beautiful and we're oh so oh so lucky. Nice one Universe! Nice one Oak Tree! (Oh Matilda got one too a week later but I big up Ted on this one... He created it and Matilda totally gets that)

Like Kamala said in her campaign end speech. The dark is there and we are the light in the dark... or something like that... 

Hmm.. hint of an English accent maybe came through there naturally. our beautiful neighbours chopped down most of our oak. It used to cover vast amounts of the country now it's probably furniture in antique shops. So the accent tells our Oak Tree that English people are sound (Nice in Ireland - In tune) again 🌹☘️


Just before we were happy with the music and finished Matilda said, Dada what about a bit of rain! Great idea! so we found a nice rainy pad or two and Matilda played them like Rachmaninov. 'Sure we're Irish. You wouldn't be doing much without a bit of rain!
