After his single release of “Hocus Pocus,” The member of the LOTUS music collective, V.E.G. brings a new EP that is a continuation of “Hocus Pocus.” The EP consists of six songs that revolve around the beginning of a relationship that is not fully established. V.E.G. ventures into a new genre of music and brings us an alternative vibe to start off the summer. With help from LOTUS members Malcolm, LENE, and Quicho, along with Kai De Lua, V.E.G. doesn't hold back his emotions when talking about a “situationship.” 
“The goal for this project was to try and fully capture all the emotions that are involved in a situationship.” V.E.G. states that he wanted to express his feelings when being in a difficult situation that involves two people having intimate feelings towards each other, but none of the two are willing to commit to one another. “I feel like this topic is relatable to a lot of young people, and I’m trying to be the voice for those people who are in this particular situation.”
V.E.G. says that despite the negativity that is drawn from a “situationship,” the EP is all positive emotion, except for one song. “I'm trying to express the feeling you get when you start to really like someone, like a honeymoon phase before the honeymoon phase.” V.E.G. continues by saying, “Almost all the songs are me singing about how much I really like this person, and how they give me a positive feeling, but like most situationships go it ends badly due to poor communication. That's why I wrote the song “3 Parts of me,” with Quicho.” 
V.E.G. explains that the “Cloudy Tapes” is supposed to be listened to in the order it's delivered because it is supposed to reflect the timeline of a “situationship.” “This is a timeline. It starts off well, and continues to go great, but eventually it goes downhill. But the last song gives a bit of hope to everything.”
When asked if the EP is about a particular person V.E.G. replied, “It started off that way but it’s changed. It’s now more about the situation as a whole. I did draw from personal experiences for sure, but would I say this EP is for and about one person? No, it's for everyone that has felt this way, and is about my emotions.” 
Finally, when asked why the EP is called “Cloudy Tapes,” V.E.G. responds, “Because I had my head in the clouds, but not in a bad way. I was just so up there you know? I felt like I was on cloud 9. My head was clouded by all these emotions, and it felt good. But sometimes when there are clouds, there will be rain.”
“Cloudy Tapes,” is for sure the best way to start off your summer. It brings a perfect vibe and sunny energy to the listener's ear. From the opening song “Take a Trip,” to the last song “Room 530,” you will sink into the upbeat emotion, and start to also want your head in the clouds.“This has to be one of my favorite projects and I hope everyone enjoys and relates to it.
