Jungle Fantasy nr.1:
A 180 bpm groove that is my first serious version/approach to a Jungle drumming.

As usual, try to hear with head/ear-phones (effects will be much more appreciated), and all is being played in one shoot (no sequences, no multi tracks, all played in real time --> it means i can play in live situations in real time).

~::.TRUE STORY.::~-
As I sat amongst the desert brooms,
One month of May's mid-morning...
Each limb dancing in the gentle breeze...
As if to sweetly welcome or console me.
I gazed upon a hummingbird, so lovely...
Fluttering about,  not sure where it was wanting to land,
But I was pleased it was up & hovering, & I sought it's destination out.
There upon my patio as I set a table with a freshly made quiche
That I had prepared for some family members...
The passion of nature  gave way to its  secret surprise...
Low & behold, I had just backed away from the table ,
And, the hummingbird  went to place it's beak into my lips,
Which were 'dressed' in bright orange lipstick to match my velvet blouse..  My fellow outdoor dining companions sat in amazement
As they witnessed such intrepid boldness from such a delicate creature..
I froze , perfectly, to let what happened be sustained as long as I could.
The take away of feeling privileged to be the chosen.,
was  a high honor I thought to  myself!
IF you think that Nature can't be fooled, 
THINK, AGAIN!
That day my lips were not for a lover--Though mine was present at the time...
But they were mistaken for a flower, 
& in my mind the moment is enshrined!
Does Nature recognize beauty from within, so as not to fear approaching?
Certainly beauty from without, isn't enough to make it trust!

The Needle And The Damage Done

Inspired by M. John Harrison's Course of the Heart and the film A Dark Song.

First comes the rose and then the salt lines
I'll speak an angel's name; Raphael, Gabriel, Michael and Uriel
Asteraceae compositae, lay a bed of tree bark
A rose cross concealed, lay a leaf on a ram's horn

Next the carved rhymes which lead to a pause
From the darkness to the light
What was silent now is sound

Slowly light a ring of eight white candles
Hand clap to each point
Cinnamon on the floor, that sweet money spice
Relight the palo santo
Cast out with smoke
Cast out by command

Silence the conscious mind's derisive monologue of doubt
All the while keep breathing
What was hidden has been found
