“Hypocrite” es el nuevo album del productor B E N N oriundo de Taipei, como respuesta a la exploración de la humanidad en torno a su rápida transformación como sociedad.

En este caso, presentamos el nuevo corte del disco a cargo de la amiga de la casa @candiecandie que, sobre la creación del track, destaca un “remixado realizado mediante la tecnica de sampleo, recortando pedazos del track original y reutilizandolos aplicando diferentes tecnicas de procesamiento y efectos sonoros como delays y reverbs, tambien generándose nuevas melodias y texturas sonoras a partir de las notas musicales utilizadas en el track original.”

Nocturna, la segunda entrega del compilado de AMULETO, presenta una faceta más introspectiva y emotiva, en contraste con la furia y la intensidad del primer volumen. En este grimorio musical, los artistas exploran la melancolía en diferentes formas, espejos del espíritu de creación que se manifiestan por medio de la música.

Esta compilación busca también que la creatividad y la experimentación en la música sea un tema central en las creaciones por lo que se trata de llevar y jugar con los limites de la música electrónica latina y en general de la imaginación de las personas que invocamos para este proyecto. A través de diferentes perspectivas y enfoques, los artistas buscan crear y compartir su música de manera auténtica y honesta, expresando sentimientos genuinos y profundos.

Nocturna, the second installment of the AMULETO compilation, presents a more introspective and emotional facet, in contrast to the fury and intensity of the first volume. In this musical grimoire, artists explore melancholy in different forms, mirrors of the creative spirit that manifest through music. This compilation also seeks to make creativity and experimentation in music a central theme in its creations, aiming to push and play with the boundaries of Latin electronic music and, in general, the imagination of the people involved in this project. Through different perspectives and approaches, artists seek to create and share their music in an authentic and honest way, expressing genuine and profound feelings.

More than three thousand Central American migrants are gathered today in Tijuana after traveling 4,500 kilometers; 4,500 kilometers of uncertainty, violence, discrimination and physical exhaustion. They are one step away from their final destination: seeking refuge in the United States. But their long pilgrimage in search of the minimum conditions of well-being will not end on the other side of the border, where they will need material, legal and emotional help to paddle against the current of racism and intolerance that characterize the current U.S. government.

To this day, some consequences of the international economic and military policies of the last three decades -- such as poverty, femicide, drug-trafficking violence, the proliferation of dictatorships, inequality and climate change -- continue to force thousands of people to migrate north in search of asylum. However, there is also light in this dark panorama, as the humanitarian crisis has awakened empathy and articulated support networks throughout the continent: transregional and international collaborations that manage food resources, temporary asylums and legal advice to assert the human right to seek refuge and live a life in peace.

These solidarity networks include Abolish ICE, The Central American Healing Collective, Cosecha, Cosmovisiones Ancestrales, Enclave Caracol, Pueblo Sin Fronteras, and independent organizers, who together form the Caravan Support Network. This network helps create autonomous support systems without the need for government assistance. Currently the work has focused on receiving and distributing clothing, tents, food, medical and legal assistance.

It is in this spirit that from the musical/cultural milieu we decided to initiate a project to support the victims of this crisis. 27 artists from different countries donated their work to make this compilation possible. The recovered funds will be donated in their entirety to the Caravan Support Network.
