ABSTRACT SUNRISE

This acoustic guitar duo piece I wrote a while back just after visiting the Canary Islands. Now with the really warm days of the year arriving I felt the same mood coming over me as in those days on the island. So, I finished the mix and master to release it now! I hope it brings you the same summer vibe as it does for me.

The track is loosely based on a Rumba Flamenca, a palo or style of flamenco from Andalusia, Spain, however influenced by the Cuban music's version traveling back to the origin of Spain, after it's popularity in Havana's musical theatre. During the late 20th century, Paco de Lucía, together with percussionist Rubem Dantas, incorporated Afro-Peruvian musical elements such as the cajón (wooden box) and certain rhythms. That's where I came to know the style.

A little tribute to "Firefly" TV series.

The idea to create this track came to me while testing @spitfire-labs Lap Steel library which came to my attention thanks to @baramataharipagi.

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation to producers of this series. I didn't use any of the music from it. It's pure fan production inspired by "Firefly's" atmosphere.

In the enchanting scene of a moonlit night, a young girl immerses herself in the pages of a mystical book, weaving her vivid imagination into a whimsical tale that conjures up playful, skeletal apparitions.

Set to a lighthearted triple-time signature, the piano guides the melody, lending a delightful charm to the composition. Complementing this whimsical journey, the glockenspiel and synthesizer mallet harmoniously dance together, evoking the amusing and endearing image of comical skeletons.

Sorry I have many medical appointments and issues these days... not here much..

Here I took the basic chords of Last Christmas, made it into minor key and waltz style with rubato.. improvised freely, will change every time I play it.. added many trills and scalar motifs like Chopin. Though the chord progression is repeated, this one is actually the hardest of the three to make and record. The other two came easily for unknown reasons. I also started the ideas for Last Christmas and Silent Night (in the style of Chopin) last year. 'Christmas time is here' I made in a couple days this year.

An impressionist piano piece which makes me think of dreams and under the ocean.

Theory/Performance Notes: Influences are Ravel, Debussy, and Villa-Lobos. Makes use of pentatonic and whole tone scales as well as various lydian-mixolydian hybrids found in Brazilian music. Also incorporates 12-tone rows; the passage starting around 1 minute uses a tone row accompanied by modal harmony to convey heartfelt emotion.

I am just someone that loves to express herself through music. I do not seek for perfection but rather want to capture my ideas for little sequences that are within me. Also, I really like to improvise.
