With a recent release on Flexout Audio and featuring on Halogen Music’s compilation Minus One, M-soul & S27 have had a busy couple of months. The tap appears to have not run dry just yet as the pair deliver us this killer new single, Momentum / Dust.

The hard snap of the snare and the relentless pulsating tone in Momentum gives this tune the perfect groundwork. The varying mid roars and squeals fight it out in the thread bare mid range, which being kept to a minimum allows the conflict to continue, crisp and undisturbed.

On the flip we present, Dust. A complete change in style, opting for a half time rhythm, Dust gives a completely different entry point to the Drum & Bass scene. Dust adopts an alternate approach to Dub placing a Hip-Hop range of drums to guide the track, with its dark underbelly, into more dancefloor territory.

A purveyor of the spectrum’s deeper end, re-known for an ever quality output, we’re pleased to present the 2nd album from Zero T, entitled ‘Golden Section’, coming on Dispatch this Autumn.

Taking its name from a classical mathematic formula (illustrated on the album’s artwork), Zero T explores the science and maths behind beauty; the factors and stimuli that govern our perception of balance, harmony and beauty in nature, art, architecture and composition.

Exploring intrinsic reactions to music and how discerning elements can balance against one another, Zero T ventures into the senses across the album; from the mesmerising nostalgia of ‘Macushla’ and dubbed out roller ‘Everything Must Change’, to dancefloor poised punishers ‘Good For Nothing’ and ‘Wolf Tone’.

Comprised of 13 original tracks, plus two additional bonus tracks, the digital album predominantly features solo jaunts, such as the blissful title track ‘Golden Section‘ and opened by the elegantly arranged ‘Late Nite Movies’, however a few special guests also join the picture, for some more technically focused collaborations.

Linking up with Fierce on the unrelenting, yet, mischievously sampled ‘Cross It’, Zero T also joins fellow Dubliner Beta 2, with two industrial workouts, including harsh stomper, yet groove driven ‘Cairo’.

Utilizing the technical apparatus to investigate a long adopted term, Zero T carefully maps out the indices to deliver a classic, all-encompassing long player that evokes the senses in numerous ways.

Continuing an impressive start to 2016 on Dispatch LTD, our next instalment comes from the other side of the Atlantic, as Seattle based Quadrant collaborates with Canadian producer NC-17. 

Comprised of three tracks, each artist demonstrates their own technical prowess and Quadrant’s familiar super tight rolling drums are met by NC-17’s tactful sub bass manipulation. 

An almighty fusion of forces sets the release off – ‘Dub Central’ is a merciless assault; a regular feature in the sets of DLR & Ant TC1, it is immaculately crafted for the dancefloor. 

In a solo effort, NC-17 goes deep to give us ‘Only One Way Out’ –  a weighty roller and certified weapon for any discerning sound system; a lethal journey into the lower frequencies.

For the final track, the duo return together in ‘Living a Lie’. Concrete drum work combines with heavy bassline pressure, as light atmospherics contrast to break up the intensity.

Nearing on two years since his last outing with Proximity, Tom Small returns, bringing with him only fire. Known for his hard rollers, Tom Small shows us what he knows best offering some of the finest in Drum & Bass. With support from some of the most respected producers and selectors in the game: Amoss, Bredren, RoyGreen & Protone, Rido, and Fre4knc to name a few on an increasingly growing list.
Black Angel starts us off in style; a nice little shadowy roller that’s sure to get a killer reaction. This is one for any arsenal with excellent manipulation of low end and truly cross spectrum sound. Track number two moves us into the eerie, further into the recesses of sound. Again keeping up the pace, with Falling Walls Tom Small harmonises thick hard hitting bass with wobble in a completely unique way. The power dynamic between the two is a joy to listen to, each one battling out for dominance of the track. 
Raucous toms lead the sound in Future Time, in addition to unimaginable mid range noises, all before we reach the drop. The title track has certainly earned its spot and doesn’t fail to deliver the epitome of energy. The highlight however is as the tune lets up in the middle and teases that rumbling bass stripped back of all but a few futuristic squelches before serving up its hard sound once more.
Detailed ends the EP in style, bringing with it all you would expect. With an experimental drum pattern that still hits all the right groove chords, all you can do is rock out. A fitting end to an outstanding display; this one’s a keeper.

Our artist led Hospital Mixtape series continues! Over the years, S.P.Y has become one of the most well-respected producers and DJs in the game with an astute ear for the crispest, deepest and darkest drum & bass. T

S.P.Y’s sets are consistently crammed with the highest quality selections, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2015 he was chosen to present the prestigious BBC Radio 1 Essential mix for Pete Tong and subsequently joined Annie Mac at her BBC Radio 1 stage at Glastonbury Festival.

A DJ in high demand, S.P.Y has spent the last year touring the globe from USA to Canada, Australia to New Zealand. Last summer he took to the stage at Bestival, Sun & Bass, EDC and Tomorrow World! Yet around his crowded schedule he’s found the time to delve deep in his record box and pull together 31 standout tracks of the moment.

He’s got his hands dirty getting hold of 15 previously unreleased tracks from the likes of Logistics, Dub Elements, Anile, Whiney and Random Movement. His hard work continues with three brand new S.P.Y productions ‘Take Control’, ‘Second Encounter’ and ‘Silent Wave’. T>I, one of a handful of producers responsible for bringing raw 90’s vibes back to drum & bass without following the same old route of ‘back to the old school’. Championed by DJ Hype and DJ Rap, T>I has already had a huge amount of hits on the underground and his latest pending releases under Serial Killaz will be no exception.

If you know your upfront drum and bass or not, you will have most certainly heard plenty of T>I’s tracks being supported by most if not all of the A list DJ circuit. Virtual record boxes have continued to be stocked with dubplate after dubplate by one of the hardest working producers our scene has seen for years.

Don’t get it twisted, this isn’t a ragga jungle explosion with a plethora of Amen beats - this is pure rolling sublow drum and bass and it’s coming in not one but two parts! Sample spotters hold tight.

High energy beats and bass combined with mid 90’s production influences are in abundance. Top scale bass lines that flip the script from ‘Changes’, deep and dark vibes in the form of ‘Hammerhead’ and music to make even the stiffest of ravers shuffle in the form of ‘Watcha Man’. This EP has it all and it’s taking no prisoners.

‘Circuits’ is being released as two separate EP’s, part one incoming 10th June followed by part two later on 24th June.
