In ancient French folklore Mélusine is a female water spirit usually depicted as a serpent or fish woman from the waist down. Except very unlike theoretically inert mermaid, Mélusine's two tails make her a siren of sexual possibility and erotic chaos in place of patriarchal order, a goddess of duality, exquisite chaos and enlightenment. 

Coming from a place of pain I considered the Seine and wondered if I use the controlled chaotic, of a process of creating sound meant to soothe by distracting me from the process of making sound to soothe even as listening to the results was only a temporary ‘yes’ of relief? Is there such a thing as 'only', ever?

Anyway, using the syntax of ambient to craft a regenerating pastoral viva new protocols, "La Chanson De Mélusine" seeks to dab a brisk but salving antiseptic on treatable wounds

the first part were compsed by two midi sequences written during the functional tests of an elektron octatrack mkII 
the sequences were subsequently rearranged from their original form and assigned to four different patches created with phase plant
