Chilean talent Alonso Bierg returns to Unnamed & Unknown with a bumper EP featuring a remix from DJ Entwan on his ‘Face Down’ EP.

Returning to Unnamed & Unknown with another impressive EP, Chilean native Alonso Bierg delivers five freshly squeezed cuts alongside an emphatic remix from DJ entwan on his ‘face Down’ EP. 

‘Face Down’ opens the release with a funky Tech House twist. Driven by bouncing drums and fizzing hat grooves, its rampant energy is bolstered by a series of builds, rolls, fills, vox stabs and much more as it ebbs and flows from start to finish.

DJ Entwan’s remix of ‘Face Down’ comes next, transforming the original into a deepend underground roller. Its heavy sub-bass melody drives the track forwards amongst a chorus of drum and percussive elements as a vocal hook bubbles up through the mix - leading into a series of climactic drops and danceable segments. 

‘Vista Bella’ follows with a subtle summertime feel. Terrace-focused drum grooves and shuffling hats combine with a wave of rising synth shots, glitchy fills and vox chops between the heavier segments of the mix to give it a perfect blend of energy and finesse. 

‘White Cap’ brings more underground flavours from the outset, focusing on hard-hitting drums and heaty sub-bass whilst subtle synth leads and percussive fills orbit the mix. A swinging low-frequency rich club groover with a minimal edge, perfect for building into peak-time slots. 

‘Sound Killer’ keeps things dark and heavy, offering another show of percussive-rich rolling Tech House. Warped vocals and tonal instruments add hypnotic energy to the mix as it rides a wave of peaks and troughs from beginning to end. 

The Club Mix of ‘Sound Killer’ closes out the release with a revamped rendition of its predecessor. Carrying the same underground elements as the original, its reinvigorated drum programming and harsher hat grooves add heightened dancefloor energy and give the track an new upbeat feel.

Milan-based artist Davide Mentesana makes his Unnamed & Unknown debut with an impressive four-track EP - Do You Love.

Following releases on Ibiza Talents, 12+1, Kubbo Records, Cocoa and many more, Milan native Davide Mentesana touches down on Unnamed & Unknown for his label debut with four striking original cuts on his ‘Do You Love’ EP.

‘Do You Love’ kicks off the release with bumpy grooves and swinging melodies. Its chugging drum work and skipping hat sequences pave the way for a catchy bassline, funky melodic licks and a soulful vocal hook from start to finish. 

‘Give My Money’ comes next, bringing more bouncing drums and heaps of movement. Its bed of tonal percussion and punchy kicks combine shuffling hats and vox stabs whilst swirling melodies and creative sampling pump life into the mix.  

‘Space Miami’ cuts a rolling Tech House line with moody melodies and bags of personality. Its percussive-driven mix of drum elements build a strong base for a chorus of harmonies to ride over the top alongside another exquisite vocal arrangement. 

‘Acid Moove’ dives back into the basement vibes with chunky drums and swinging hat grooves from the outset. Another catchy bassline drives the track forwards alongside an array of analogue components whilst velvety pads and a nostalgic vocal topline seal the deal.

Kappa Recordings label boss Adrian Mart joins forces with Colombian producer GAGH for their joint Black Seven Music debut with ‘No Reason’, including a remix from Guzt.

Between them, Adrian Mart & GAGH’s catalogue of releases features the likes of La Pera, Distance Music, RIM and many more. They now add Black Seven Music to the list of reputable imprints to showcase their work as they make an emphatic label debut with ‘No Reason’ alongside Guzt on remix duties.

Kicking off with the title cut, ‘No Reason’ comes in hot with weighty drum programming and rolling sub-bass whilst layers of rippling percussion float the track forwards. Swirling deep into the heart of the track is a soulful vocal hook, orbited by ominous vox loops, creative sampling, subtle pads and deepened tones as it undulates potently from start to finish. 

Guzt follows with an emphatic flip on the original, keeping the tempo at a premium from the outset. Another well-constructed core of hefty beats and scattered percussive flair drives the track forwards into an arrangement of creative fills, bubbling melodies and continuous peaks and troughs. Focusing again around that killer vocal hook, this one has all the makings of a peak-time head-turner.
