Next up for TBR005 we welcome label owner Matt Arnold for the next EP on the imprint. 

Born and raised in London Matt is known for showcasing his percussive sound. Teamed with his driving baselines & marvellous vocal work, we’re sure he’s one to watch for the future. 

Starting the EP off with the A side ‘Dance Now’ Matt draws the listeners attention in with the catchy tom groove he has above the bass. Coupled with the vocal hits ‘dance, dance, now’ which rips through the track supplying sumptuous ear candy for the listeners. Drawing heavily from his love of Music On, we can certainly see a percussive masterclass display in this track. Whether it be peak time or for a walk in the park, this one is going to get you tapping your feet. 

For the B side, Matt supplies us with an absolute groover. with another sublime percussive display. This time he takes us through his synth work, supplying us with analog synths throughout using his moog & novation peak set up in his London based studio. This combined with his superb vocal work, shows us why this is a great B side to ‘dance now’.

Argentinian native Funk Off keeps our 2022 schedule moving as he makes his Black Seven Music debut this March with a killer two-track release - Roller. 

Blossoming out of a region renowned for its Deep & Tech House artists, rising talent Funk Off (AR) continues to make strides in the right direction with a stream of impressive releases on well respected electronic imprints. Adding to that tally, he touches down on Black Seven Music for the first time with a duo of emphatic dancefloor-ready stompers - what an introduction!

‘Roller’ is first up, bringing along a heavyweight arrangement and boisterous persona that you won’t forget in a hurry. Thumping drum work and crystal clear percs build the perfect blend of punch and flow, whilst roaring sub-bass adds even more movement to the depths of the track. A hooky rap vocal flows throughout, whilst a secondary vox is twisted and stretched alongside a climactic and sawing synth - before hammering in another furious drop and pushing you back into its groove. 

‘High Wire’ comes next with even more cadence and energy. Driving rhythms take charge from the outset, with a strong core of kicks, bass notes and sampled hand drums keeping you plugged in. Another dominant rap vocal features heavily in the bridge sections of the track, whilst rising melodies build suspense - leading to compelling dives and plenty of robust grove-focused segments.

The new EP “Touch Me” by Frag Maddin & ROTSCH (out November 14th, 2025 via Human Machine Wisdom) was conceived as a raw homage to the origins of Jacking House.

In late-night studio sessions, the duo dug deep into the Chicago basement spirit that first ignited the global House movement, stripping the sound back to its essentials while recharging it with modern club energy. But “Touch Me” is more than just a nod to tradition. In an era dominated by AI, algorithms, and polished productions, the track is a reminder of the power of human connection. Frag Maddin & ROTSCH deliberately went for something primal and physical, music that doesn’t just move the ears but touches the body. The collaboration itself was equally organic.

What started as an experimental jam quickly evolved into a raw club weapon, with both artists feeding off each other’s energy and capturing lightning in a bottle. That spontaneity, that shared spark, is embedded in every track. For Frag Maddin & ROTSCH, House music is more than entertainment , it’s ritual. “Touch Me” was designed as a trigger for that collective experience, a moment where strangers on the floor become a community, moving in sync. It’s a track that connects past and future, human and machine, body and soul.
