SHOTS FIRED! DEMS Medic 21 was on a medical aid earlier today at around 1:00PM when shots were fired on their scene. They were there for a male having a seizure and someone starting popping off rounds. One person was hit and an additional medic was dispatched to the scene, but canceled when DEMS Medic 21 conveyed the patient.

Washtenaw County Sheriff had a pursuit earlier yesterday at around 655PM. WCS received multiple 911 calls reporting shots being fired in the 1100 block of Nash in Ypsilanti.

Multiple deputies responded, along with other agencies. A deputy spotted the vehicle and the pursuit started. It ended up on the NB 275 where the suspect vehicle crashed near the rest stop just north of Palmer Rd. 4 perps fled the vehicle into a residential neighborhood just south, Emerald Pines & Lotz in Canton. A perimeter was established and 3 were taken into custody pretty quick. The 4th may have been taken into custody, but I wasn't able to ID it...sorry.

11:12PM 4-20-22: Stolen DEMS Rig: DEMS Medic 16 had their rig stolen from their quarters at Ryan & Hildale. The person who snatched it took it for a short ride, with the brakes on, with DEMS tracking it and forwarding that information to the MSP. MSP picked it up and started following it. They took the bozo into custody at Monica & Santa Maria shortly afterward at 11:26PM. Said bozo also got on the radio and started talking gibberish. The rigs brakes appeared to be damaged at the time of arrest.

DEMS Medic 16 Stolen Suspect Radio Transmissions, Subsequent Arrest

via MCSO: On 4-26-22, at approx. 6:20am, Roseville Police Officers were involved in an officer involved shooting on Groesbeck near 12 Mile Rd.  One male is deceased.  No officers were injured.  MCSO is investigating.

(It sounds like Roseville PD responded to an MVC at Groesbeck & 12 Mile when things went sideways. Soon after arrival, Roseville PD Officers had someone at gunpoint and shots were fired according to dispatch audio. The audio is bad, probably due to Simulcast issues and the scanner monitoring doesn't have that capability, or antenna issues...or whatever, but there you go.)

There were 2 shootings and 3 victims earlier today.

The first one was at Schaefer & Schoolcraft, DPD's 2nd Precinct investigating....appears to be self inflicted according to dispatch audio.

The second shooting occurred at E Lantz & Albany. 2 people were shot, 1 fatally earlier today at around 215PM, the 911 call was dispatched at 2:19PM and officers from the 11th Precinct arrived at 2:23PM. They found 1 subject with a fatal GSW and the other; at the  time of dispatch, non fatal. DPD looking for a black Chrysler 300 last seen fleeing the seen EB on E Lantz. E Lantz - Albany Fatal Shooting

The search for a fugitive inmate from Alabama and the prison employee who helped him escape has ended in southern Indiana. Dispatch audio from Broadcastify.

Just a quick post on a fugitive search out of Alabama. Indiana authorities pursued 2 people wanted in a prison escape, one of them a prison official. The vehicle they were in was spotted in Evansville Indiana. A pursuit was initiated and the vehicle crashed at  Burch Rd & Baumgart in Evansville.

It appears as if the male escapee shot himself, no officers fired their weapons according to dispatch audio. The female prison official was armed and talking to 911 according to dispatch audio, but was taken into custody. The condition of the male fugitive is unknown, but it does appear as if he ate a bullet. Below is dispatch audio of the pursuit and capture. I really didn't have a lot of time to edit it.

Quadruple Shooting: DPD's 5th Precinct investigating a quadruple shooting in the 12600 block of McCoy Circle x Anderdon. 
The victims were rushed to a local hospital and all expected to survive.

(8:10AM) Earlier today Detroit Fire's Engine 50 was involved in an injury MVC at Dickerson & Houston Whitter.

At the time of the MVC, Engine 50 and Ladder Truck 23 were responding to a dwelling fire at Riad & Casino in NE Detroit.

Original Box Alarm Included Engine's 50, 52, 60 Ladder Truck 23, Squad 6 and Battalion Chief 3.

Following the MVC, Ladder Truck 23 stayed on the scene with Battalion Chief 3. Senior Chief 203 and Deputy Chief 201 also responded to the MVC scene.

DEMS Medic's 6/15 were dispatched to the MVC scene for at the time; according to dispatch audio, 4 patients, 2 firefighters and 2 civilians.

DFD's Squad 3 was dispatched to extricate the injured civilians.

Taking Engine 50, Ladder Truck 23 and Battalion Chief 3's place due to the MVC were Engine 46, Ladder Truck 31 and Battalion Chief 6.

Chief 6 took incident command on the working occupied dwelling fire at Riad & Casino.

DEMS Medic 6 ended up conveying 2 from the MVC scene to St John Hospital and DEMS Medic 15 conveyed 1 from the MVC scene to St John Hospital.

Allegan County Sheriff Officer Involved Shooting-Suspect Dead

via MSP: The Fifth District Special Investigation Section (SIS) has been assembled to investigate an Officer Involved Shooting (OIS) at the request of the Allegan County Sheriff's Office. This incident happened shortly after 10p on Thurs. 6/16 on 26th St. near 136th Ave. in Salem Twp, Allegan County following a traffic stop. 

Preliminary investigation reveal there was some type of physical altercation between the deputy and the suspect. The deputy fired his weapon at least once, killing the suspect. The deputy did suffer some non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive.  

The deputy has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation and an internal review by  Allegan County. This investigation is in its infancy stage, which means we do not have a lot of information to share right now.  Interviewing witnesses, gathering facts, and collecting evidence takes time.

From the Detroit Scanner: What I heard on dispatch audio - Allegan Dispatch received word from one of the deputies of a traffic stop at 26th & 138th in Salem Township at around 10:04PM. The vehicle was described as a silver Chevy Impala.

At around 10:12PM, the deputy asks for backup. Shortly after the request the deputy reports he's fighting with the subject.

At around 10:14PM the deputy reports shots fired, reports 1 down.

Backup deputies arrive on scene at around 10:16PM.

The deputy involved in the OIS reports performing CPR on the subject at 10:16PM.

EMS is dispatched at 10:16PM.
