Egypt’s Raxon makes his Truesoul debut with a searing four-tracker.

The talented DJ/producer has been a marked man on Adam Beyer’s musical radar ever since his stunning remix of Noir & Olivier Giacamotto’s ‘Reste’ landed during the summer of 2016. His productions have elsewhere found a home on Diynamic, Noir, Tronic and more recently Ellum, reinforcing his ability to craft powerful techno that still retains an emotive edge. 

His maiden outing for Truesoul is masterful. ‘Fobidden Quest’ is seven minute of low-end muscular bass that’s heavy on peak-time rush. ‘Orix’ is continues in this vein and is a groove-ridden bass-heavy gem. ‘Flight Call’ demonstrates his musical breadth, providing an interlude from the dancefloor with an immersive ambient work. The EP is rounded out with ‘Heliopolis’, the EP’s title track named after Raxon’s hometown. It’s a stirring composition driven by uplifting pads, tension-building bassline melodies and a laser-kissed build up. 

Support for this EP already comes in strong, including Maceo Plex, Solomun, Nicole Moudaber, Carl Cox, B.Traits, Tale of Us, John Digweed, Adriatique and of course Adam Beyer.

Schallfeld's new EP by the very name Dystopia sketches the image of this omnipresent feeling of despair. Shrill, tattered synth-notes poke out of the waves of deep, pulsing bass only to disappear again immediately, lost at sea. "Darkness Falls“, "Fearful Symmetry“ and "Modern Colony“ are tracks which take the listener far off the shores of light-hearted ease into an alarming, almost accusing sound-scape. Remixes by Andree Wischnewski, Ryan Dupree and Dansir complete the air of dark foreboding and intensify the record's own menacing strength, relentlessly demanding the attention it deserves, and no doubt will get.

BIO: 
Schallfeld is wideness – furrow by furrow and line by line is passing by when paths are merging and diverging in one single moment.
The paths of the two Schallfeld-members Philip and Jörg, both children of the 80ies, also first merged 2008 in Halle and diverged again until in 2015 Schallfeld was created. In the years before Philip, Erfurt-born PhD student of biology, was caught by the rising ElectroSwing-wave and as DJ started participating the Hallish club culture. Jörg, producer originating from a German Rap Project discovered his passion for the minimal sound of the 00ies and founded a Live-Electronic-Project with two musician-friends. 

In the following years both projects showed up in various German cities like Halle, Leipzig, Berlin, Erfurt and others - and sometimes also at the same party as following acts. Paths merge and diverge. When in winter 2013/14 a new studio merged various musicians and projects together, the two met again and soon found a common interest about tech-sounds in all their simplicity and complexity. 

In spring 2015 they started producing first demo tracks and first sessions and half a year later a first release was droped. By now EPs for the Berlin-situated labels Grossstadtvögel and Finn Records were published and several EPs are already planned to come out summer and autumn this year. Dont miss it!
