This is a small part of a bigger recording which had a bit too much traffic and rustling jacket noise to include in its totality. In this clip I arrive beside a pond in Jericho Park just as a beaver is felling a branch off a tree. You can start to hear the beaver at about the 1 minute mark. The branch falls not long after and they continue gnawing at the branch for the duration of the clip. I never saw the beaver even though it was very close. There were too many reeds and bushes in the way. There was a red-winged black bird in the tree right next to me calling to another across the pond. It eventually flew away but you can still hear it in the distance. The recording was done on June 6, 2020 from 9:00pm to 9:04pm.
