hi all! pink lemonade was cute and all but this is a whole other thing.
'fever dream' is a song about dreams (shockingly) and youth and family and how all those elements of growing up intertwine and effect each other. it's about me, fearlessly embracing myself and my passion, and it captures the fire that sparks in that moment, the beginning of something important and life-altering, the first decision I ever made for myself and stood proudly over. it is your first taste of a new flavour of music for me, a soundscape I've been creating for months and am so excited to release into the world! all in due time, of course hehe.

fever dream

this a *demo* of an *extended* version of my original song 'dark matter'. in other words, I am very much still working on the final version of this song. however, I think its raw, early form is charming and emotive in a way that a tidier, shorter version may not be. hope you enjoy the narration at the end, the trumpet motifs and other untouched audio clips I threw in there to add to its unstable, chaotic energy!
'dark matter' is about that place in your head where your insecurities, fears & doubts about yourself live. it’s about facing that part of you, admitting you don’t feel okay & embracing those emotions for a moment before getting back up & navigating through them. fun fun fun for all the family! (but really though - it’s so important to discuss & be transparent about mental health! also wanted to capture a raw state of mind that isn’t quite as saturated & sunny as my insta photos, as scary as it is to be this vulnerable. even just for me)
this song is derived from a play i wrote called ‘orbit’ that was part of the PIPS production in players theatre this year. let me know what you think! and if any of you actually listen to the last 2 mins of my 6 minute songs lol:)

thoughts from my bedroom (during corona time)

this song developed out of a dream that I had sex with a robot who looked like my boyfriend. I wrote it last autumn and produced it at the very start of this year and consequently, it no longer fits the 'vibe' of the EP (it's quite experimental and electronic) so I figure - why not put it out there? to celebrate the start of spooky season.
