Brutalist 1960s iconic 'streets in the sky' complex - Park Hill Flats gained listed (protected) status and has been (and is still being) renovated (and sold). 
Many memories of the early post-slum clearance days must resonate with its previous residents who were moved out to 
make way for the developers.....

procedure: Jeff and jo co-composed the lines that eventually made it into the lyrics. Jeff then selected and condensed those lines into a single poem and recorded a spoken version. jo added some modulation and instrumentation, mostly urban field recordings and vst (organ, cello, choir) in quite a gritty mix. Jeff created a mellotron track as well as a remodulation of the reading and jo added some delayed quitar and incorporated all of that into the mix. Eventually, Jeff performed an amazing e-bow solo which jo aðded into the brew - asking his software to also magic up some time reversal and stretching .... ah, the hermetic arts of the mixing desk! image: copyright jo richter

I dreamed of bees and she's ensconced
lovingly covered in wax and honey
in her shock

Coy teenagers carry their mothers' frigid deferral
on their sleeves
enticing the junk yard louts -
creating silver bullets for the gentlemen of lore

The porter took the luggage through a doorway made of fog
- snake masters of the charming trades and the Gorgon in the lobby
offer terror as a benefit and a hobby

Fake slaughter of willing lambs
souls embalmed in resin prayers
heretics and fools
buying artificial artifacts from the vendors
in the palace lobby after hours

While towers in the distance seem to shimmer
in the brilliant heat of golden stars exploding
in the summer of his thoughts
while the unknown spawn of heavy metal Gibson psalms
is inspired by the razor wire,  coiled
and singing in the wind

In the last pages of his major (and yet first) book, Claude Levi Strauss already predicted the possibility of a fall of "the rainbow of human cultures », of the diversity of cultures due to the galloping standardization of the world and the desires for expansion of all sides. All that would then remain, he thought, would be to try to renew the interrupted dialogue with the mineral, vegetable and animal orders of nature, and perhaps, to try to renew the dialogue with a last "wink with a cat".

Thank you  for visiting my world, I'm happy to share! 
I 've been composing electronic music for more than 20 years but only started this new project 3 years ago, when the band in which I played bass splited.

 A large amount of the music I love was recorded in the 70's. Among these revered groups , Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Ange or King Crimson stand out. Over the years, I've also been very fond of many diverse bands and songwriters (The Doors; The Beatles; Bowie; Neil Young; Deep Purple; Led Zep; Patti Smith; U2; The Police; Massive Attack; Chemical Brothers; Killing Joke; Marillion; Morphine; Nirvana; The Young Gods; Dominique A; Noir Désir, Conil, Aurora ...). 
More related to my own synth music production, one could find influences from Vangelis, Jarre, Björk, Oldfield, Numan, Kraftwerk, Schultze and other pioneers. Finally, I should mention the great soundtrack composers such as Ennio Morricone, Wendy Carlos or Hans Zimmer.

My desire is to be a tiny part of the great admirable family of human composers and musicians in order to explore the infinity of musical combinations that our mind offers... To achieve this goal, I will continue to mix my own set of diverse influences in my own imperfect human way, without surrendering to any type of AI composer. My approach questions the astonishing way in which skills, sensitivity, aesthetic and personal history provide the fuel and oxygen for our creativity, while chance, curiosity and current feelings provide the spark. What matters the most is the process, not the result, the “product”.
My pieces will always reflect the result of hundreds of micro-choices I made, consciously or unconsciously, that's what makes it fun, right?
