This piece is an improvisational dialogue between poetry and kamancheh, based on the poignant poem “The Tree” by Siavash Kasraei.
Narrated by Iranian poet and journalist Alireza Bahrami, and accompanied by Faegh Noori’s expressive solo kamancheh performance, this work explores themes of identity, solitude, and resilience.
The soundscape reflects both the inner emotional world of the poem and the traditional textures of Persian music, in a contemplative cross-medium expression.

Protest is a duet for kamancheh and tombak — an improvised musical response to the accelerating destruction of nature, the speed and chaos of modern life, and the growing absence of inner peace.
This piece is both a lament and an outcry, blending the ancient voice of Iranian instruments with a contemporary concern for the Earth and the soul.
It was recorded in one take, capturing a raw, emotional atmosphere of resistance, grief, and hope.
