Mari Kennedy from Next Stage Celtic Wheel  shares two wisdoms that the Winter solstice offers us from the Celtic tradition. At this dark time when we are facing more uncertainty with seemingly relentless crisis, it appears that we are in a collective deep Winter Solstice moment. 
Two wisdoms that might resource you to trust this time that feels like a dark night of the soul. 

1.Open to the darkness - it has a magic transformative power. The ancient ones trusted the cycle, the turning of the wheel, even in the depths of darkness.  They knew the mysterious transformative nature of darkness. They trusted at this moment of death the fragile light that would grow into the Summer Solstice would return and be reborn.

2. There is a time to move out of the darkness - we are so afraid that we will get lost in darkness but when we play with the cyclical wisdom we learn how to hold the light with the dark to trust that the dark has a luminosity that will move us naturally and effortlessly out of dark times.
