Yancey makes his debut on the label by taking Yizzy back to his 140 roots with a gritty Dubstep flip of his announcement to the Drill & UK Rap scene with ’Blue Freestyle’ that was first released in 2021.

Born and raised in New Zealand & now residing in Bristol, Yancey has built a name for himself in his homeland's underground music scene & beyond, known for his eclectic sound & unique performance style drawing inspiration from the rich history of hip-hop, jungle/drum & bass & their many contemporary offshoots. His music has been released & featured by notable labels including Noisia Radio, Quality Goods Records, & Sony Music NZ, played on Rinse FM, BBC Radio 1 & regularly on GeorgeFM in his home country, & supported by the likes of Tsuruda, Cesco, Klinical & Sepia. This notoriety has led him to perform at renowned showcases for the likes of 1985 Music, SWU:FM & Redbull.

Taking Over

October 2025 marks exactly ten years since the first broadcast of Radio Punctum. It was an episode of the show Altershapes that aired live from a makeshift studio, shared as a Shoutcast streaming URL on forums as it seceded from the now-defunct Radio Streetculture to found its own station.

To celebrate this special occasion, we are releasing a massive compilation featuring music from our station's past and present residents, friends, and collaborators.

The curatorial aim was to capture the breadth of our musical programming.

Expect anything from ambient to goregrind, ambitious experimental pop to outsider songwriters, and meticulous digital soundscapes to electro and gabber bangers, as well as electronic post-punk stylings — all mastered with great care by Yukimura at Mustakillah Studio.

And so concludes the first ten years of this traveling circus.
