Meo Culpa has been an ambassador of blending world music and electronics for years, with a diverse collection of sounds, centred around tribal and emotional vibes, operating with both progressive and ancient elements.
Ethno techno and tribal house are his main trademarks, often spiced with jazz and world music.
He has performed at essentially all festivals big and small, and in Budapest it's hard to find a place where he hasn't been heard. As a cultural organizer, he is responsible for the musical palette of many events (Ethnotech, Zengető, WaterVibes, Petendi Pajta, Pontoon Live Jam) and his Sacraticum podcast is a regular feature on the RadiOzora radio station.

Titled Phoenix, this body of work explores themes of rebirth, transformation, and emotional depth. As Max describes it: Ive always been drawn to the symbol of the phoenix. The idea of rebirth appears often in my music, the melancholic undertone, the beauty in sadness, the emotional resonance. Like a beautiful sacrifice made for love, or conviction... a memory thats both heartbreaking and full of light. The Breathing Core

“Sporeforge: Osculation” carves a slow-burning ritual from acid filaments and heavy, unclapped kick. A 303-like spine breathes in and out as hyphal textures spark at the point of contact, building a hypnotic pressure without breaking the spell. Industrial haze, low-end gravity, and micro-surges of resonance shape a dense, club-ready trance of combustion. For late tunnels, strobe-quiet rooms, and the moment the floor leans into the flame.

Kithembe’ is a roots chant of call and response praising the mystery of the Kamba drum. Brought together by Kenya’s Post Election Violence of 2007/8, Abaki Simba is a collective of Rastafarians based in Nairobi, teaching unity, peace and environmental action through music.
Kithembe uses proverbs and similes to relay a powerful journey of word and sound in daily living. The song radiates a rhythmic message from the ancestors through their poignant belief in African metaphysics.
