Hello everyone! This is my first Native American flute song, please let me know what you think!

In total, this project took me 4 days to complete. The first day was spent programming the drums in FL Studio. I then spent 2 nights in the studio recording flute takes over the beat. Breaking up the flute into 2 nights really helped me to come up with unique melodies to span this nearly 20 minute track. I was also able to upload and edit those takes on the same nights. The fourth day was spent mixing and mastering the track.

My flute is from Miguel at Singing Tree Flutes and I absolutely love it! It is tuned to A minor, 440hz. I have owned it for 2 years and it has taken everything I've thrown at it (I take it backpacking regularly). 

For recording I used a Sony PCM D100 for my microphone. I usually use the D100 for field recording and it is not best suited for flute and vocal work because of its extreme sensitivity. This means that every little noise in my environment makes it into my recording (neighbors, dogs, traffic, etc.)

To get around this, I record in my basement in the evening when there are less of these disturbances.
