Another moment of inspiration starting with an improvisational 3 min groove exploration recorded on my phone's voice memo function.  Imported that to garage band and added a bit of eq and efx then played it back through my jbl portable speaker while doing a 1 take freesytle lyrical riff and recorded the whole thing into my voice memo software on my phone just using the built in microphone.  Brought it back into garage band and added a little background vocal and some more eq.

Gonna Be Cool (quick phat hip hop sketch)

I sampled the opening bars from the song "Never My Love" performed by The Association in 1967 which was originally written by Don and Dick Addrisi.  I looped the opening bars on my boss 505 then added a few background choral parts and another track of jazz drums (mostly toms and cymbols) then I did a few freestyle takes and this is one of them...  This is not meant to be a commercial track and is just a sketch for fun.

A friend of mine recently revealed to me in public that he is fighting a serious life threatening illness.  I did not have many words at the time, just hugs and deep empathy.  Today I thought about him, reflecting on the fragility and value of life.  I made this for him in my typical improvisational style...

These tracks were produced during a live improvisational vocal meditation call FLOW led by Scott Bolden at Das Baumhaus Berlin.  All recordings are excerpt from the actual live, unrehearsed sessions with mostly non-musicians and inexperienced meditation practitioners.

These sessions run every Thursday  for 1 hour at Baumhaus Berlin in the evenings and every last Wednesday of each month for 3 hours.  Private sessions can also be booked.
