Description:
Recorded and produced between January and November 2024, this EP came together while I was going through cancer treatment—starting with surgery, then seven weeks of radiation and chemo. During that time, music continued to be my creative outlet, and a lot of what I was feeling—thanks to pain meds and thinking about life—ended up influencing the tracks. My mortality had become a very real concept and my tracks reflect this state of mind.

Fear and anxiety are peppered throughout the tracks, but also gratitude and love for the people close to me. There was a point towards the end of treatment when I wasn’t able to work on music, so these tracks were made either early on or during recovery.

"When They Come For You," was inspired by the surgery experience and the idea of it being akin to alien abduction. Coming out of the anaesthetic was particularly jarring and disorientating. 

"The Swell of the Adriatic" is something of a lament for a missed experience my wife and I were supposed to have with our closest friends.

"I Am Star Dust" is an ethereal sonic representation of the idea that we are all made of atoms and particles, destined to one day be scattered and redistributed back into the universe. Traveling for eternity through the cosmos—a state of renewal and a deep sense of belonging with all things.
