In this case the name comes from the Ocelot (Leopardus). A medium-sized spotted wild cat with a unique coat that helps it blend into the forest while it hunts for prey.Enjoy!'

Now, that’s what 3000Grad Special stands for: Music made to maximise the bustle of the dancefloor, but with an unusual, original twist. Special. Ninsa: The interstellar “remix version” on Gabriels SoundCloud is a track that I’ve listened to many times. I love it and when we searched for inspiration we started to talk about how shitty it is that it’s just on SoundCloud and nowhere else. So we just made our own interpretation.

When we are creating, we find a balance somewhere in between of both our styles. There is no other mentor and friend that I would wish for in this music journey.


Ananda: “ Not many movies or events hit my deepest pain of being separated as much as interstellar. They did something right with this movie and the soundtrack is on point.

So in one of our sessions, Ninsa and I couldn't find something that moved us equally so we just decided to go into these chords of Hans Zimmer. 

The heaviness of the remix on soundcloud isn't so much in this one, so i decided to create contrast by also showing the happy side of that Theme in the break..

Ninsa is not only a really good friend and an amazing, hard working talent as a DJ and all that is connected to it, her passion also lights me up a little so that i feel motivated to make some more techno tracks and also enjoy playing on parties more. So big thanks for that.

Entitled “Powers of Ten”, the 10-track album will land in June 2015 on his own Herzblut Recordings and provides another great insight into the melodically rich muscle mind of this modern great.
Says Stephan Bodzin of the LP: “Powers of Ten has been with me all my life and is named after a book that has been my background hiss, its confusing truth is my only real faith and its infinity shows me its finiteness. The album is about harmonies, melodies, rhythms. It is an homage to Bob Moog, full of techno beats and sounds and space and party and ecstasy and dancing and listening, and crying and feeling. It is a journey, a philosophy of life, a view of the world, a vague perception. It is my wife, my children, my family, my friends, my passion, my enemy, my greatest fulfillment, my fear, my deepest peace, my power, all my love.”
As such, this album is hugely personal and is filled with cerebral messages and well thought out concepts. All this shines through and makes it an all the more engaging listen from start to finish. Kicking off with the spine tingling chords and louche beats of ‘Singularity’ cuts like ‘Lila’ then continue to confirm that Stephan Bodzin has a classical understanding of melody that is way beyond your average.
‘Blue Giant’, ‘Wir’ and ‘Ix’ all manage to be uplifting and thoughtful at the same time as driven and groovy, whilst ‘Birth’ comes on with a hymnal high note, long tailed pads and subtly shifting beats. The ghostly grooves of ‘Zulu’ mark a majestic mid point to the album, which then continues to seduce with spiritual synths and more beautiful melodies on cuts like ‘Odyssee’ as well as the album’s standout title track.
Unfolding coherently and in soothing fashion, this album once again proves that few producers in the modern world have a knack for melody and an ear for sonic ingenuity quite like Stephan Bodzin.

Jacob Groening's debut EP for Kamai Music takes the listener on a trip out into the wide open, a journey through wild sonic landscapes. The title track - „Sulg" (A1) sets the mood. A blurred picture rendered through a minimalistic instrumentation of echoing saxophones, guitars and piano. It oscillates around repetitive themes that range from oriental sounds to reduced blues chords like in „Giom" (A2).

The B-Side shifts away from this and shines its light on South American influences as in „Sosa" (B1) and the remix „Sulg" (B2) by the Argentinian producers„Kermesse". Groening's approach to his productions, ranging from down to midtempo, is characterised by its use of live recorded instruments, well tempered minimalistic percussions and rich melodies that take the listener on a voyage into the mind's very own comfort zone.

It's always nice to be able to present so-called local heroes on one of our labels. This shows that besides the great internationality, we still know where our base is and Amber Blue catalog number 048 is a great example of that. 

Herr Oppermann is such a local hero and plays all important events in Hamburg and Northern Germany and the contact was established early on through events, but now we are getting together on the label side and Herr Oppermann is making his debut in the Amber Family.

With "Never Ending" he delivers a very melancholic seeming production, which doesn't quite correspond to the current sound standard and therefore is very good and absolutely audible and playable. Melody, groove and a break that couldn't be more beautiful characterize his production and make it special and that in a very good sense.

Just like the two label returnees, who also belong to the local heroes and make this release almost a "Hamburg Special". With Birkenlauber and Fabs#, two well-known names are represented with remixes that perfectly reflect their current definition of their sound and thus are perfect additions to the original.
