This duo was founded in 2018 as a "working band" to create a distinctive style of expression through regular rehearsals. A wide range of artistic experience enables the players to create music that blurs the boundaries of sound, noise and melody in the field of tension between composition and improvisation.  "pitching hole's" music does not fit into conventional pigeonholes. Coupled with the risk of better failure, Kolberg and Zoepf succeed time and again in creating moments of surprise which, in an age of technical reproducibility, produce a freshness beyond virtuoso showpieces.

I'm thrilled to introduce "Things No Longer Belong to Me" – a heartfelt creation born from the depths of my soul. This track, composed on the eve of my kidney transplant, carries a profound message of love and gratitude to my family.

Set in a soulful groove with a unique 5/4 time signature, each beat represents one of us – my wife, our three children, and myself – united in love and resilience.

This song is a tribute to my incredible friends who've been with me every step of the way, offering unwavering support and encouragement.

"Things No Longer Belong to Me" is more than just a melody; it's a journey. It's constructed in two intertwining structures, each embracing the other in a dance of harmony. It mirrors my life – the past and the future, intertwined yet distinct.

As I face this transformative journey, I'm filled with a newfound serenity and determination. It's a new beginning, a fresh chapter, where I'm detached yet resolute in my pursuit of excellence.
