Bravery as a human quality, good over evil, etc....  The Lyrics are pure Pathos...Its is a very rare tune and should be more well known.  It is my all time favorite Gordon Lightfoot song that I remember from when I was a teenager.

The planet Lagash ("Kalgash" in the novel) is constantly illuminated by at least one of the six suns of its multiple star system. Lagash has areas of darkness (in caves, tunnels, etc.), but "night" does not exist.
