Ruffkat`s  BIOGRAPHY
Ruffkat, “Sinethemba Gogela” by birth name, was born in Khayelitsha where he grew up and later on relocated to Du Noon where he matriculated.

His passion for Hip-Hop started  at a very younger age but he got involved in this culture in the year 2001.Ruffkat is a versertile,dedicated type of an mc who tell life stories through this art form as he paints pictures with his lyrics. My aim with this music is to educate each and every individual who listen to my music and my mission is to grow and be an icon. 

Ruffkat comes from a crew called ONE1 MUVMNT which contains mc’s like QHAWE,SIMMZ ,ILL DRE,NASTY X,STHERRA TONDERAI which are more like his brothers as they played a vital role on his career.I am an underground mc and the type of music I am doing is Boom Bap and conscious(but I can do any type of music trap,club bangers ,jazz, you name them) I don’t limit myself as an artist as I grew up listening to KRS1,wu tang clan,deadprez,common,Talib kweli,AMU,Rattex and the late Tayce miczilla to name few so that is where I got the inspiration. Ruffkat have been performing in cape town and where he got a chance to share a stage with some of the cape town’s well known artists such as driemanskap,Rattex,M4M,Timo,Zanzolo and Ndlulamthi ,he also performed @ the University of western cape Mr and Miss fresher event 2009.
This year(2016) I just shot a brand new Music video for my old track that I did in 2014 , the track is titlesd ‘A place called kasi’ ….. search and watch it live on youtube.
As it’s been a long time on this game I have worked with lot of artists in Cape Town and outside home(One1 muvmnt) I have worked with artists like KHANYISO,POZI PRODUCTION,NUNSTOP PHAM,VERBAL CARTELYST,BLAQ  UMNTOMNYAMA,KG,MP,VEGITA,NTSIKANE,SK BALENI,LEO IV,BLAK KALAMAWI,MC MANEZA,SOUNDFUSSION,ZWILAKHE,SIBA NOVEL,MICHELLE,IXD,SAM SLIK,D’LO,TEARS,NENZO(DEMONZ CAMP),BOOK OF LAWS,HOMICIDE,PHARMACIST,DE COMPOSER, Mtezman , Madala professor the list is endless and I feel blessed to have worked with such artists because there is a lot I have learnt from them as they strengthened me when I was working on my first Album titled “My journey” which I did 2010
