A gorgeous unearthing from two top end friends rooted in collaboration and experimentation comes Pod; Peace of Dream. The duo present the shimmering single “Past” for a special digital Step Ball Chain release; two alternative versions for your pleasure, both downtempo dreamscapes recorded on Larrakia Country. Prominent underground Australian artists in their own right, Hamish Rahn and Emma Stevenson delve into exquisite pop with emotive and raw beauty, a lucid state of mind. A bonus blissed out drum and bass rendition of Past rounds out the release from none other than SBC alumni Maara.

RNT introduces MOTEL PHANTASMA, a new project from a mysterious production duo with their incendiary Claptrap EP. A tasty double A-side 7”, this pair of tracks establishes the MP sound as both club-tough and musically weighty. 

The title track is a peaktime weapon of epic proportions, oozing slippery electronic percussion, razory synth work, and in-your-face vocal incantations delivered in Portuguese. 

The flip side is a bouncey Afro-boogie number, a bit more organic in approach, and with a relentlessly catchy hook by featured singer Kaleta. With a gorgeous full color jacket to match the music’s punch, this one is an absolute late-summer essential.

Pour ce podcast, j’ai voulu me faire plaisir avec un set 100% Jungle. C’est presque devenu une tradition : un moment à part où je m’autorise à plonger pleinement dans ce genre qui me passionne. J’y rassemble toutes ces perles que je ne joue ni en club ni à la radio, des morceaux que je garde spécialement pour des mixes un peu plus intimes et uniques, pensés comme des cadeaux pour des occasions spéciales. Cette fois, c’est un mix très breaké, dont la structure rappelle le chaos dans lequel nous vivons, avec un esprit de déchaînement, de révolte et de libération qui parlera sans aucun doute aux amateurs du genre.
