Né à Colombes (92) en 2007, le BeatMaker Contest est une compétition nationale dédiée aux compositeurs hip hop. 9.2 Styles sélectionne les 8 beatmakers les plus talentueux d une région afin qu'ils s'affrontent devant un public en 3 étapes à élimination directe, sur des samples imposés et des compositions personnelles.
Le Jury déterminera à chaque étape quel est le compositeur vainqueur.
Le gagnant représentera sa région lors de la finale Beatmaker Contest.
