So....this is a rough crackly in the moment demo I made a while back. I was heavy on the belief of soulmates and this song spun from that. Hadn't gotten around to producing or doing final vox. The beat is a royalty free sample I got from splice just to lay the melody and lyrics down. Sometimes stuff gets lost on a harddrive and this is one of them. Just wanna put it out to see if it makes the people feel anything and I'll take it from there. FYI: my inner perfectionist is cursing me out and throwing a tantrum for posting this 😅

It's not the best quality demo but I wanted to get down the melody, overall vibe and lyrics. I used a sample from Splice to sing to, I never use them in my final mixes as is though.  Yeah...let's see what happens to this one...

Backstory:
This is a song I wrote a few months after my mother passed in 2018. Something came over me to help me get through it. I don't know how I got through it. But I felt like things would be OK. Looking Brighter is about choosing to be hopeful that things will clear up even though cloud of sadness is still there. This is a song about resilience and not giving up on life.
