This recording draws on techniques from early electronic music, particularly the hands-on, splice-driven approach of tape manipulation. Pulses were generated using Pamela’s Pro Workout, while sine tones—recorded separately and filtered—were edited into six distinct splices and arranged manually.

The assembled material was then recorded through the Q-Bit Nebulae V2, where it was slowed down and pitch-shifted to bring out texture and subtle degradation. A final vocal layer was added directly into the Nebulae, treated as another raw sound source rather than a lead element.

The result is a study in modular fragmentation and time manipulation—more process than performance, echoing the tactile workflows of early electroacoustic practice.

“Wou ass den Mëllen?” ("Where is the insane one?") is a tape-warped sonic snapshot of a neighbourhood slipping into collective unease. Built from lo-fi recordings, background murmurs, and unstable rhythms, the piece captures the creeping paranoia and whispered accusations that echo behind curtains and closed windows.

Fragments of speech and pitched-down textures suggest something — or someone — is not quite right. But the question lingers unanswered: Is it them, or is it you?

A distorted reflection of suburban silence, this track invites you to eavesdrop on the subtle madness just beneath the surface.

The patch is clocked and synchronized via five trigger outputs from Pamela’s Pro Workout.

Two ring-modulated oscillator pairs serve as primary sound sources:
– MiniMod and Bateleur VCO
– Two Make Noise STOs

The Befaco Kick All is randomly tuned using CV for irregular low-frequency hits. Monograf is pitch-controlled by Mutable Instruments Marbles and receives additional modulation from random voltage sources to create melodic instability.

Envelopes by QUART and Modulation duties are handled Doepfer A-145-1 LFO, applied to various CV destinations across the system.

Morphagene plays back pre-recorded "elvish" voice fragments, adding a distinct granular texture to the mix.

The full dry signal is routed through Qubit Nebulae, which introduces pitch and speed variations via live recording and playback manipulation, contributing to a shifting, time-warped character.

Finally, the processed audio is sent through FX Aid Pro running the Black Hole Reverb algorithm to create spatial depth and ambiance.

This piece was created with a custom Python script I developed. The script generates MIDI sequences based on a set of parameters that control structure, rhythm, mutation, and rests. Instead of producing a fixed pattern, it creates evolving variations: some notes remain stable while others gradually shift, making the music feel alive.
The tempo was deliberately kept slow, giving space for the mutations and rests to create a sense of openness and breathing room. The rests introduce silence as a musical element, so the phrases feel organic rather than mechanical. Mutation adds gentle unpredictability, allowing the sequence to drift into new shapes over time while still staying grounded around a tonal center.
For the sound design, the MIDI was routed into VCV Rack, where I used four oscillators as voices. Each oscillator contributed a slightly different texture, creating layers of harmonic movement that interact with one another. The result is an evolving ambient soundscape — calm, spacious, and subtly shifting — where algorithmic structure meets the warmth of modular synthesis.

AI Sequencer-015

This piece was created with the help of a custom AI sequencer I built, which generates patterns that slowly evolve instead of looping in a rigid way. Notes repeat, shift, and sometimes fall into silence, so the music feels alive and in constant motion.
The sequence was played across four channels, each routed to a different oscillator inside VCV Rack. Every oscillator carries its own character, and together they weave a textured soundscape full of subtle harmonics and movement.
With its slow tempo and gently shifting layers, the track has a meditative, breathing quality — precise in its structure, but human in the way it unfolds over time.
