With the help of personal story of women’s rights activist Rani Shamim from Nankana Saab (Punjab) who has been attending PODA’s Annual Rural Women Conference since long, and also with the Interview of PODA’s Executive Director, Kaukab Jahan, PODA’s effort to organize rural women conference annually is highlighted. 
The program is on PODA’s effort to raise voice for the rights of rural women with the help of the story of the conference. The program also touches that how the conference empowers women like Rani Shamim.

15th Radio Program - Advocating for Rights of Rural Women through Rural Women Conference

Highlighting the Constitution of Pakistan’s article 37 which says that the state is responsible for ensuring equal opportunities for women and other segments, with the help of a success story a young woman Mehwish Majeed who could get higher education despite the fact that the family and community were unsupportive, an effort has been done to see what kind of challenges are being faced by young girls in order to get education. She is from Layyah (Punjab). Also, with the help of the story, the program highlights the challenges in getting higher education e.g. early marriages due to which usually girls couldn’t get higher education.

16th Radio Program - Challenges for Young Women in getting Higher Education

There are two interviews in this program. 
1st interview is of Farwa Tauqir who works with burn victims. She is associated with Depilex’s Smile Again headed by Musarat Misbah – a renowned beautician working for the plight of burn victims. The interview is aimed to create awareness on the issues of burn victims so that communities support them to lead a normal life. The interview also highlights the law that prohibits acid throwing and sensitizes the society in this regard. 
2nd interview is of Sadaf Aziz. She is a child psychologist working in areas of child rights and child protection. She raises awareness on children’s rights and protection related issues and talks about child abuse as well. In detail she shares what are the elements which can contribute positively in the development of a child’s personality. PODA’s radio trainee, Nawaz Ali conducted the interview.

17th Radio Program - Sensitization on Issues of Acid Burn Victims and on Children Rights

This program contains two interviews. 
With the help of the interview of Advocate Khawaja Zahid Nasim, who is working for the plight of human rights, through this program awareness on sexual harassment and the relevant law has been raised. 
Haji Bibi is a rural women leader from Hunza Gojal. Though she was not able to get education, but she is very vocal for girl education and for this working actively in her area in Hunza.

18th Radio Program - Awareness on Sexual Harassment Law; Promotion of Women Education in Gojal

This program highlights story of a transgender person “Shanaya Khan”. With her story, awareness is being raised on the issues faced by a transgender person in our society. The program also shares that in Pakistan, with the passage of time some steps have been taken due to which some progress is visible. However, in some parts of the country violence against “transgender people” has increased. She shares that primarily it is duty of the families to take care of their trans-children.

19th Radio Program - Awareness on the Issues Faced by Transgender People

In this program, there are two interviews. 
1st Interview: Misbah Chaudhary is from a remote village “Baila” located at the bank of river Chenab. She heads a small NGO and is working for the welfare of the people of her area. She is vocal for women and human rights. She talks on the importance of education and women’s empowerment.  Her community is her source of strength which trusts her in helping people with regard to finance. 
2nd Interview: Nasir Khan is from Mardan- KP and is working for the rights of senior citizens as their number is on rise in Pakistan. Realization of senior citizen’s issues is not an acknowledged fact in our society. It requires awareness on the issues of the senior citizens in our society. This interview is an effort to raise awareness on the acknowledging senior citizen’s rights and welfare.
