In this installment of Sound Advice, we’re speaking to LA-based producer, DJ and songwriter Daniel Allan. Originally from Louisville, Daniel has become one of electronic music’s brightest rising producers, going from making rap beats in his bedroom to collaborating with Louis The Child, Mike Posner and The Chainsmokers, to name a few. In this exclusive interview, we discuss the importance of community, collaborating and Daniel’s tried-and-true strategies for building creative confidence. Plus, we hear how SoundCloud played a role in connecting Daniel Allan to his now-IRL friend group, and how he uses the platform today to discover new music for his DJ sets.
