The 41st release of katharsis is the EP “swansong” by jhl coming out on May 3rd. The New Zealand-based artist portray a dark and dramatic world of love and pain in this five-track release, drawing inspiration from poetry, opera, and fantasy worldbuilding. The result is both endearing and epic with its glittering synths, grandiose sound design, and poignant orchestral elements. jhl’s vocals carry big emotions through all five songs, as the lyrics are characterized by heartbreak and despair though still full of hope and love.

For this 173rd Premiere of 2025, we have a track by SGT titled ‘From Afar’ from his forthcoming EP "Circuit Riders" on the short run vinyl label based in Berlin, Germany & Sydney, Australia run by artists 16 Faces & Drox : Delphic Iris Records.

“From Afar” is the brightest track of the EP incorporating hooky, funk-driven alien waves jacking through deep space, with nods to Aux 88 and Cybotron.

The EP will be available on October 10, 2025 on 12" vinyl + digital.

Limited edition 10” dub-plates of the singles are available via Delphic Iris Records Bandcamp on the 19th of October.

Concrete pulses, acid bleeds, and cryptic signals in the static Circuit Riders is a stripped-back, sinister slab of electro from Berlin-based DJ and producer SGT, originally from Chile.

Shaped by Santiago’s raw DIY scenes and sharpened at the controls of Tresor, SGT channels punk energy and cold, mechanical tones into razor-sharp body music.

SGT has fine-tuned his sound on one of the most revered systems in the world. That influence is baked into this record: raw, refined, and built for impact—laced with rubbery sequential funk and precise sound design.

Built using classic gear like the SH-101, Pro-One, and TR-808, this is future-focused electro rooted in Detroit funk, NYC attitude, and analog precision. From the dystopian vocoder drive of Addicted Generation to the haunting static of Hoags Object Field Recording, each cut rides the circuitry with purpose.
