Shameful [DEMO] (ft. Meagan Shuffield & Harrison Witcher)

This song was in reference to a breakup I had my freshman year of college. I had only dated this person for about 2 months before we ended up breaking up. She had sat me down and told me that there are two kinds of plants: plants that like to be outside in the sunlight with all the other plants, and then there’s plants that sit inside on desks in the dark away from other plants. She was telling me that we couldn’t date, because I was too introverted.

The song is titled “woes of a desk plant”, because I’m taking ownership of the label she gave me instead of being dissapointed in my personality. The song talks about some social norms in society that I find to be pointless and perhaps a bit “fake”.
