THIS IS THE STORY of a young visionary who turned tragedy into victory. EMG Sayless is a name that rings bells in many places. Growing up in the cold inner city of Buffalo, NY, Sayless saw the gift of talent and in himself and his friends so he began developing business ideas in the hip hop and fashion industries. His first success was was forming the rap group EMG (Every Man Grind) in 2012. The other members were his partner on the mic, Pistol Reef, and Producer Bibby also known as Studiimac. The group instantly caught fire and with a young video team, they were able to flood every online platform with first-ever videos depicting the reality of the harsh streets of Buffalo. A shocking blow was dealt in 2013 when his producer, Bibby was shot and killed showing just how dangerous life had become, and putting a halt to their momentum. With the strength to carry his team, in 2013 Sayless dropped a hit video called “100 Bars In Buffalo” in which he reflects on these events and also introduces the world to another crew called Beamer Boys. Together with Beamer Boys, EMG resurfaced dropping the smash hit “Sheesh” gaining over two million views and securing tour dates nationally. At this time Sayless launched his clothing line called SLDM which was and instant success. Setbacks struck again when Pistol Reef was jailed for two years but immediately upon his release they secured another opportunity. A meeting with the producer, Cochise resulted in a recording deal allowing Sayless to finishes his long awaited mixtape and the lead single “Shake That”.
