Dear friends, This is ”The Rain” version two where I experiment with different finger picking methods. I have 2 tracks with one method on a steel stringed Furch guitar, and 1 track with another method on a nylon stringed Alhambra guitar. I have also raised the pitch by half a pitch.

The Rain

There is something that we take - for granted each day we live
it’s the rain which sometimes fall on us - is it good for us?
or a pain for us? -  It sometimes feels so
when our clothes have gotten wet and we are freezing
and we are a long way from home

Our bodies contains of - a lot of water to a major part
and lack of water makes us seriously ill - so we need the rain
to a certain amount - but give us just what we need
Too much water around can be dangerous
we may drown in the river near our home

But something has happened to the rain - we don’t know which day it will come
it has changed a lot the last years - why is it so?
is it our own fault? - do we burn too much coal?
should we park our dear cars and never use them
and never eat soo much meat as we do

Dear friends, new reports reveal that large ships are cleaning their tanks and releasing large amounts of toxins into the Baltic Sea!
The Baltic Sea is an inland sea with narrow passages for fresh water. Eutrophication and other litter have caused this sea to nearly die! There are many countries that lie by this sea and many rivers release dirty water. Translation into English below.

Strax öster om vårt land det finns ett hav som
lider svårt för människans skull
Vi vill leva så flott utan att börsen den blir tom
och vi vill slänga allt vad vi inte vill ha

Dear friends, this is a fairy tale - 
but now it has happened again. My thoughts are with the people in Turkey and Syria.
My thoughts were with the people in Palu, Indonesia when I wrote this song.
They need all sorts of help! Money, tents, food, water, and much more!

Today I was scared, I heard a terrible crash, when our house fell down
could it be the w i n d
I searched for my mom and my dad on this floor
but the stairs in our house were gone 
and here was no light
I could only hear the sounds of the waves
and my parents voices were gone

A big stone fell down and clamped both my legs and the pain was intensely bad
I was very afraid
my grandpa was lying under lumber and stones
and I couldn’t hear any sound from him
and there was water downstairs
I couldn´t go down to the ground floor at all
cause my legs were clamped by the stone

But after a while I could hear a man call he was searching for survivors he said
maybe he could help me free
He lifted me up and he took me away
to a place where they could treat my wounds
and all were so nice
and they said that they had surprises for me
and I saw that my parents were here

Dear friends, I worry more and more about the state of the earth! More and more wars flare up, the climate is worrying with natural disasters as a result! Strong malevolent rulers emerge and succeed in egging the population of the respective countries. History has shown how it goes - I think of such men as Hitler and others! The war causes huge emissions of greenhouse gases! Instead, use the soldiers to plant trees and fight the terrible forest fires!

The Baltic Sea is living dangerously right now! Scores of ships in deplorable condition transport oil across the sea. The risks are great for extensive oil disasters! I have made some songs for the Baltic sea just to make people understand the problems.

I write almost all of my songs, and I sing my songs and play the guitar and the harp - no more. My recording equipment is quite modest with a Furch guitar, Alhambra guitar, Röde microphone, Focusrite and Garageband. My studio is our guest room in our house.
I was young during the 1960s when Dylan became famous. I was a member of a folk song group during that time. I love Dylan´s music!! I was also a big fan of The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Mamas and the Papas and several more singers. I like folk music and the old protest songs. I love the music of Eva Cassidy. I was also a big fan of Björn Afzelius, and I love the music of Tom Petty. I am very inspired of the music of John Denver.
Bengt and certainly several 100 million people are intensively protesting against all evil around the world!
I love to sometimes write songs that are a bit weird and self-ironic!
You know that I am a novice in the "recording business", and sometimes I have to revise the songs.
My whole grown up life was occupied by my profession as a doctor in intensive care and anesthesiology. I was head of the department of Intensive and perioperative Care in Lund, Sweden the last years. After that I have got the possibility to be dedicated to music. 
My songs are a matter of extreme happiness and extreme sadness. I write all the music and lyrics except "As tears go by", "House of the Rising Sun", and songs by Evert Taube.
I love to leave some message with my songs!
I have no previous experience of writing fiction. I have, however, some experience in writing non-fiction. I wrote my thesis, and some chapters in a textbook in anesthesiology. I was also member of a group who introduced an education program in pediatric cardio pulmonary resuscitation for laymen in Sweden.
