Silver Lining

Lately I've been studying the art of khöömei, Tuvan throat singing. This cover of a song by Mathias Duplessy, merging western music with that tradition, is the first result. Enjoy listening!

Tcheren Deya (Mathias Duplessy cover)

Written by Pavel Chesnokov (1877-1944), this wonderful choral piece is known as one of the go-to pieces to showcase the basso profundo/oktavist voice. Although I am not necessarily a true oktavist, but rather a baritone-bass with quite a large range, I set myself the challenge to record all parts of this piece as a one-man choir. And in the end, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Enjoy!
