Sumitaku Kenshin was a haiku poet who practiced free-form haiku. He started writing poety after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and dedicated the last 2 years of his life to haiku, leaving 281 poems, mostly published by the free-form haiku magazine Kaishi.

Here’s a mix of my extra layer to go with the haunting disquiet0636 [wings] by @element05 (aka "nocturnal you" on Soundcloud). My contribution was to run [wings] through Clank Proteo and then through Mimeophon to get a piece three times longer than the original. Then I cut that down and mixed my piece against element05’s original base track.

I chose [wings] originally because no one else had, but I really like the sparse textures in there and the unexpected shape of the overall piece. I hope my contribution hasn’t made it too busy for the next person to want to play along.
