A name that has become synonymous with club driven techno in recent years, and armed with a catalogue of classy techno to show for it, German native Phil Berg steps up to leave his mark on the SK_X series with the ‘Raid’ EP.
The title track leads the 20th instalment of the SK_X series with an assortment of growling basslines, rolling percussion and rising synth-lines. ‘Y-Axis’ concludes the A side with a hypnotic synth groove complimented by an eerie atmosphere and texture throughout. The flip side breaks with ‘Kamino’, a dark affair packed with punchy kick drums, plucky bass and rhythmic percs. The record resolves with ‘Sinara’, a euphoric journey consisting of lush pads and rattling tones for its duration.
