‘Dhawa Sunrise’ is an exclusive compilation based around the themes of future-thinking and/or ethnic inspired texture-heavy music. The aim of the album was to fund equipment for and create a Science Lab at the Shree Prabhat Higher Secondary School in Dhawa, Gorkha, Nepal.
Since the Earthquake that struck Nepal on 25/04/2015 though, Dhawa is in ruins, and there is no school left to help, but there are many families and people in need of aid. We will be changing the cause, more info to follow.

Hybrid Cluster Vol. 1 spins itself on a sound design axis; each track twists a bevy of similar tones and textures into an entirely new soundscape. The opening track “Iridescence” ebbs and flows between sultry melodies and enveloping bass weight, while the follow up tune “Skirmish” pounds speaker cones with syncopated synth cuts and processed hip-hop rhythms. “Hybrid” is the dance-floor-ready weapon of choice, drenching break-beat in resonant frequencies and juggled sub jaunts. “Azimuth” relaxes the atmosphere, utilizing a suite of round-edged textures and soft, tonal synthesis to paint melodies across the frequency spectrum. Here is a beautiful new tune which came into being quite spontaneously like a flash of noetic lightning in the wake of some beautifully serene experiences in Seattle and the Cascade mountains.

It was a lot of fun and a real honor to feature vocal contributions from my friends Theo and Amma (Entheo - https://soundcloud.com/entheo), as well as Theo's guitar and a few percussive samples from my friend Jules O'Keefe.

I haven't given out a new free track in a while, and I think this is a breakthrough and a new direction for me, so I am going out on a limb and allowing this tune to spread how it may, in good faith that it will touch as many lives as possible.

Thousand Hands of God (feat. Entheo)

Originally released on Dragonfly Records in 2005, Tripswitch's debut album Circuit Breaker landed to widespread critical acclaim and became recognised as one of the landmark releases of the psy-chill genre, establishing Nick as one of the godfathers of the scene. Tracks from the album were picked up for numerous compilation licenses by the likes of Nick Warren, Jose Padilla and Claude Challe, and continue to be licensed for compilations, TV and film - most recently "Roll Your Own" has been included in the soundtrack to the Bollywood movie "The Blueberry Hunt". 

The first release quickly sold out and 2 years later, by which time copies were changing hands on ebay for as much as $150, Dragonfly re-released it as a double CD package including a completely reworked edition with versions of each track from a clutch of the world's top electronic producers. 

Both original releases were dogged by digital distribution issues and were therefore never available for download in many parts of the world. Section Records inherited and sold off the remaining CD stock in 2010,  and in 2012 re-issued the original 2005 Circuit Breaker album as part of our own digital catalogue. Now in 2013, we're delighted to be able to add Circuit Breaker Rewired to that collection, completing the Tripswitch discography and finally making it available worldwide.
