I've always enjoyed songs with unreliable narrators. I think there's an element of that to this one; singing about looking ahead to the future while still obviously pining for the past. Though as the song progresses, the lyrics become more candid.

Beyond

Inspired by a painting I saw in a Dundee gallery called Christ and the two Disciples on the Way to Emmaus. What got me was the look of astonishment on the disciples faces as they realised their travelling companion was the resurrected Christ.

Pour la petite histoire 
J’ avais l’idée de cette chanson, le titre «  sémaphores » la première phrase, et une musique depuis trois ans, avec le projet de la faire un jour…
Dés le départ, dés la première phrase, j'ai pensé à Bashung, et je me la suis imaginé avec sa voix, car c'est totalement dans le registre de ce qu'il aurait pu chanter avec brio.
Mais ce n'etait pas possible, surtout parce que même vivant, cet artiste là est à des années lumières de moi....
Alors, je la lui dédie, avec tout mon respect, mon admiration, et surtout beaucoup d'humilité.
Et cet été, mon talentueux ami Steph Ouna, a eu la gentillesse de me proposer une base musicale,en me donnant carte blanche si je voulais en faire quelque chose.
Dés que j’ai écouté sa musique, il m’a semblé évident que nos idées pouvaient se rejoindrent, et j’ai commencé à travailler sur la base de sa musique.
Un challenge, car chaque musicien a sa propre façon de composer, et bien que plus difficile, c’est toujours enrichissant de se confronter à ces différences.
J’ai donc écrit un texte, qui raconte une histoire personnelle, mais de façon, imagée, afin que chaque auditeur puisse y projeter sa propre histoire, ses ressentis, ses émotions.
N’est ce pas là le but de toute chanson, musique, tableau, ou toute autre forme de création ?
A mon niveau, je n’ose parler d’art, mais plutôt d'artisanat, mais assez parlé

Avec un flegme tout Britannique, le capitaine, pas très sport, laissa tomber 
un glaçon dans son dernier gin tonic, et un « oh my god, save the queen, i will never sail anymore » 
                
Tout le monde est hystérique, vide ses comptes off shore 
Quelle main a donc versé, la ciguë dans les amphores ?
