Maybe you know me from YouTube. I decided to start uploading some of my work to SoundCloud, since I started trying to make some thumbnails.

Anyways, here's the basic concept of this Megalovania: 

I applied a similar principle to my Nuzlocke runs in the Alola Pokémon games. The role of Sans is collectively shared by some major players on my teams in both runs (Soleil the Magnezone, Selena the Tsareena, Kagero the Crobat and Mozu the Stoutland from my Sun Nuzlocke, and Kamui the Lycanroc and Kliff the Espeon from the Ultra Sun Nuzlocke), while the role of Chara is shared by the two foes that spilled the most blood from my team (Hau’s Raichu in the case of the Sun Nuzlocke, and the Totem Araquanid in the case of the Ultra Sun Nuzlocke).

The difference is, I can also easily include a collective “Papyrus” for the scenario: The Pokémon my “Charas” killed in the respective runs (Hau’s Raichu killed Takumi the Dartrix and Mitama the Kadabra at Malie City, and the Totem Araquanid killed Gray the Zorua, Delthea the Gastly, Boey the Charjabug, Tobin the Slowpoke, and Deen the Torracat).

TRIBULATIONS [An Alola Region Nuzlocke Megalovania]

This might take a little explaining.

So I saw a community post by a YouTuber named Some Guy With A Low Budget, saying that somebody should make a Megalovania for the Beam Attack meme for the heck of it.

Well, that’s exactly what I decided to do. Just… because why not?

If you're not familiar, this character is The Darkness, a villain from the Skylanders Franchise.

So I've had an idea for a Random Role AU for a while. And I just got done remaking an old piece of mine from a while back, a Your Best Nightmare. However, I lost the original project, and all I have left is a MIDI produced by Noteflight, which horribly butchered the song. So I had to remake it from scratch.

This is obviously not that song. Rather, it's the Your Best Friend for the Random Role AU I decided to create, where The Darkness is Flowey. I don't even know what all of the roles are going to be yet, but this is one of the few I'm certain about.

I had this one in my mind for some time now. Along with that, I had, like, 500 different possible names for it. Painted Red, Inked, stuff like that. In the end, I settled on THE LAST SPLATFEST.

If you're observant, you may notice that the menacing silhouette of Meggy in the corner of the thumbnail isn't her human form, but her original form. There's a reason for this - I picture the lore behind this AU to be somewhat of a "bad ending" to the Anime Arc. The AU's backstory would detail the Anime Arc going as normal, but Meggy and Mario both somehow died. Therefore, Meggy never got turned into a human in this AU.

* Long ago, there were two brothers, Wario and Waluigi.

* Those two brothers were petty troublemakers, pulling scams and heists left and right, and generally being the biggest public nuisances imaginable.

* But Waluigi had a dream that transcended his current life.

* He wished to get into Super Smash Bros., a fighting game series involving various beloved Nintendo characters.

* But time and time again... Waluigi would be stuck in the dreaded position of Assist Trophy.

* One day, he made his latest plea to Master Hand, the one controlling the entire series.

* Master Hand promised to allow him in if he could meet one criterion: He needed a special move.

* And after a long day of searching... he found it.

* A dark power borne of the hatred directed at him over the years, all of the scorn, and his own broken dreams... the power of rejection.

* He showed Master Hand this power, and at long last, he secured his place among the playable roster...

* ...Only to immediately lose that honor and get forced back into the role of Assist Trophy when the news caused his powers to fade.

* Waluigi swore revenge.

* If he couldn't be in Super Smash Bros.... he would simply make his own Super Smash Bros., with the entire kingdom as his plaything.

* Biding his time, he slowly built up his power, manipulating people into rejecting him, even through some of the pettiest crap you could imagine.

* And when he finally resurfaced and unleashed the power he had built up, he practically brought the kingdom to its knees.

* The combined efforts of several residents were barely enough to even stall him.

* He was finally stopped when Wario appeared, apologizing for his previous misdeeds and declaring that, despite everything, he still loved his brother.

* Waluigi, to atone for his misdeeds, decided to harness his power for a more noble purpose - Destroying the barrier around the Glitched Computer.

* With Wario by his side for moral support, Waluigi fueled up on the still-plentiful hatred toward him one last time, and directed all of his terrifying might on the barrier.

* But when the smoke cleared...

* ...

* ...The barrier was completely unscathed...

* ...

* ...And Wario was dead.

* Waluigi was overwhelmed with despair.

* All his efforts had achieved were the death of his brother.

* The princess, not too happy about her castle getting reduced to smithereens for the umpteenth time, in a fit of rage, killed him in cold blood while he was still crying over Wario's corpse.

* After this incident, Peach vowed to set everything right once and for all.

* Every YouTuber found in the Mushroom Kingdom's territory must die.

* With enough souls, the barrier can be shattered, the Glitched Computer can be turned on, and reality can be restored to its normal state.

* It won't be long now.

* Princess Peach will set things right.

* Princess Peach will give us hope.

* Princess Peach will restore our true reality.

* Why aren't you smiling, too?

* Aren't you excited?

* Aren't you ready?

* Whatever was your "normal..." you'll be back there again soon.

[SMG4: Tales Of Memes] 071- SMG4: Tales Of Memes

I remade the Once Upon A Time... because why not?

* One fine day in the Mushroom Kingdom, Professor E. Gadd decided to run an experiment.

* Nobody truly knows exactly what this strange scientist wanted to accomplish.

* Unfortunately, Gadd's computer was broken, so he was forced to borrow a computer from YouTuber SMG4.

* Again, nobody knows exactly what Gadd wanted to accomplish... only that everything went horrifically wrong.

* SMG4 had downloaded several gigabytes of assorted Undertale memes onto his computer shortly before Gadd had borrowed it.

* And somehow, this would lead to the near-ravaging of the entire world.

* Because of these memes, the experiment accidentally warped the entire fabric of the Mushroom Kingdom's reality, turning it into one resembling Undertale.

* Events of the distant past began to repeat themselves, but in different ways and in completely different orders.

* And the residents of this warped world did not remember that this had all happened before, nor did they even remember that things weren't right with their world.

* The computer itself became encased in a mysterious, indestructible barrier lying within Peach's Castle.

* It became known as the Glitched Computer.

* MANY YEARS LATER...

* Legend has it that any YouTuber that enters the border of the Mushroom Kingdom never returns alive.

[SMG4: Tales Of Memes] 001 - How The Arc Began (V2)

- You Ain't Gettin' Diddly Squat (Heywood Banks)

I should explain the leitmotif. Basically, Toast Guy's ever-iconic line "YEAH TOAST" comes from a song by Heywood Banks titled "Yeah Toast." However, the song has no real melody, it's mostly just a rap-style thing accompanied by percussion in the background. Therefore, that song wasn't viable for use in any song for this AU.

So what did I do? I just found a completely different song by the same artist and used that for the melody instead.

* YEAH TOAST!

* YEAH TOAST!

* Hm?!

* Oh, hey there, friend! I’m McShyGuy the helping toast fairy!

* I’ve never seen you before! You must be new here.

* Therefore, I, McShyGuy the helping toast fairy, will teach you how things work around here!

* YEAH TOAST!

[Cut to the battle screen]

* See that heart? That’s your soul, the culmination of your very being!

* It seems pretty weak right now, but it can get stronger!

* How? With TOAST, of course!

[Toast Guy summons some toast]

* Eat up, buddy! YEAH TOAST!

[SMG4’s soul attempts to collect the toast, but takes severe damage]

* WELL now. Looks like your soul REJECTED it.

* Hee hee hee… perfect.

* All the better to restore me to my full power.

[Toast Guy summons a ring of toast around SMG4’s soul]

* DIE.

[Toast Guy laughs maniacally as the toast closes in… but then it disappears. And Toast Guy gets sent flying by a random thrown Luigi doll].

This dialogue might seem a bit confusing. Basically, the lore behind how Waluigi became Toast Guy goes as such: After Waluigi’s death shortly after his failed attempt to destroy the barrier around the Glitched Computer, a hungry Shy Guy wandered toward the wreckage of Peach’s Castle. Peach happened to be making some toast at the time, which was heavily irradiated with the power of rejection. The Shy Guy ate it, causing Waluigi’s personality to manifest inside him.

The Toast Guy kind of has a split personality. When he’s pretending to be nice, he acts like the Toast Guy you know from SMG4. But the equivalent to Flowey showing his true colors is the Waluigi side speaking. Think of it like this. Flowey has two different sound effects for his dialogue, one for when his “evil” facial expressions, and one for all the others. The latter is Toast Guy speaking, and the former is Waluigi speaking.

[SMG4: Tales Of Memes] 003 - YEAH TOAST!

This was one of the toughest themes. Not to make, necessarily, but to find a leitmotif related to Waluigi that actually works as a His Theme. And even now, I'm not so sure I made the right call on the theme I chose.

After a short break from making music, mostly cause I was starting to feel a bit burned out, I decided to make the But the Earth Refused To Die and Battle Against a True Hero for SMG4: Tales of Memes.

* Only one strike was enough to do this…?

[Saiko starts to glitch out, almost like she’s going to disappear altogether, but reforms].

* Oh, you thought I was done?

* My body feels like it’s going to completely shatter into pieces at any moment…

* If a stiff breeze hit me, that’s exactly what would happen.

* I feel something.

* I have no idea what it is, but I feel something.

* But all I know is that it won’t let me go down here.

* …

* If there really is a “real world,” and our world is just a corrupted form of it…

* Are you gonna have your way with that place too?

* After you’re done with me, are you going to wipe out everybody here…

* Then activate the computer and do it all again to everybody in the true reality?

* I used to be a character in a dating sim.

* But Boopkins had me brought to life in the real world.

* Initially, I was an enemy to most of the people here.

* Honestly, I used to be not so different from you, YouTuber… or whatever the hell you are.

* But now…

* I can feel everybody lending me their power, like I’m in one of those anime Boopkins likes.

* And all of us have one goal right now.

* Making sure the only meme to die today is YOU.

* Yeah, I just called you a meme.

* You’ll certainly look like one when I’m through with you!

I was planning to cover Old Schooltale's Megalo Strikes Back for some time, but never got around to it until now. And by the time I did, I had discovered a second AU that also happened to have Moge-ko as Chara, that being Undertale: Changed, owned by a user named Kore. So now this Megalo Strikes Back gets to follow in the footsteps of the Bonetrousle I made for Old Schooltale years ago, and be for two AUs at once.

Megalo Strikes Back definitely isn’t an easy song to recreate in Noteflight, so I hope the instrumentation is at least okay.
