Our version of the Nat King Cole classic. First released in 1948 and written by Eden Ahbez a year previously. Sax by the fabulous Steve Killigrew.

Nature Boy

Our version of the classic. Written in 1972 by Leon Russell, it was released as the B side to his single Tightrope. It was also considered only fit for a B side of The Carpenters, Please Mr Postman. George Benson had it as an A side and it became his first solo hit in 1976.

Masquerade

A song written by the wonderful Bruce Maxwell-Smith many, many moons ago. Dedicated to the memory of Phil Gill, our Archivist.

Sounds like it should be used in a feature film intro, you would know the ride you're in for

Never To Be

A piece of whimsy, another song written by the awesome Bruce Maxwell-Smith sometime around 1978 and never played live. Bruce is featured on guitar in the chorus, alongside John, who added the rest of the guitars, as the song gets The Thursfield Brothers treatment.

I want you to want.

Probably the first time that the brothers co wrote a song together. And it came from one of those jam's that are so in the moment, where nothing else is present.

I Always Wanted You

The latest track from the Thursfield Brothers. Written and sung by John with bass from Mark. Guitars, programming and production by John. A poignant memory of a brother lost.

Difficult Son

Written in the early 80's by our younger brother Gug (Michael), who is sadly no longer with us. He wrote it on a synth but our version is synth free, despite it actually sounding quite synthy It's a lovely haunting song. We hope that he likes the reverb. John played guitar and did the vocals, programming and production. Mark played the bass.
