Samana recorded and produced both the LP and the video and had this to say about Harvest: 

'Harvest is the outcome of a social experiment, filmed over the duration of two hours, designed to explore and capture one of the fundamental concepts behind the album Ascension; the transitioning between one plain of consciousness to another. With dance being one the most primitive forms of human behaviour, we created a musical environment that shifted between five notions. Orchestrated with the intention of removing each individual from their bodies, from time and from their conscious state of awareness, to a state of catharsis and transcendence, we documented the language of movement that became the immediate dialogue of their subconscious, and in turn, witnessed the collective ascension of the group to pass into an altered state; a higher frequency and dimension of being and energy'

The See Within

Eckhardt And The House is uptempo and danceable indie music with elements from pop to avant-garde to disco-funk, all twisted up into a signature sound with wild experimentation and disregard for the norm.

With new single We're All Wood the band has taken a bit of an unusual route with a slower approach, to create a sweeping, conjuring and cinematic groove that unfolds into a slow ritual dance.

As Eckhardt and The House himself describes it:
"The lyrics are inspired by the tale of Moby Dick: the image of the whaling ship Pequod at sea, with captain Ahab waiting for revenge on the white sperm whale. Even though he knows it probably is going to end badly.
Musically it is a kind of gospel hymn on minimal soul that is based on a sturdy double bass (similar to 90s alternative band Soul Couching), bare jungle percussion with plate reverb (not unlike French singer Brigitte Fontaine's single 'Comme à la Radio') adjoined with Brian Eno and David Byrne playing around purring, hypnotic synth arpeggios and guitars ('My Life in The Bush of Ghosts'). One could also hear whiffs of Nina Simone in it…but I am very curious what the listener hears in my new single!"

The Echo Collective was formed gradually over three years of extensive work with ambient groups and artists A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Stars of the Lid, Dustin O’Halloran, and Christina Vantzou. The group is variable in size depending on the collaboration and is made up of classically trained and active young professionals. The goal of the Echo Cocllective is to collaborate and produce pieces of music that straddle between classical and non-classical genres, with the hope to bring new audiences to all kinds of music.
