Channels is an album Tufawon will be releasing as a series of singles beginning January 2021. The album represents the experiences we live through within the different spaces we find ourselves existing in. Spirituality, technology, resistance, social media, art, and nature. On some levels, Tufawon is almost like an unfiltered news station, bringing on the ground information about the realities we live through here in Minneapolis, Indigenous/Latinx and marginalized communities. “I am the echo of our ancestors channeling through me every word I create poems with, carrying the messages they've taught me. I am the addiction to the many channels I can't seem to get enough of. It is the beauty and the ugliness that creates hope within this dystopia. It is the contrast that some of us can clearly see, and that too many of us are too distracted to acknowledge". Channels is a reflection of what society is experiencing in real time.
