Back with more Ace Attorney! This is my favorite cross examination theme. This time around I added a lot more to the original theme, making it sound even more dramatic. Like the last testimony theme, I added the little text you see before a cross examination in the game. I've always loved how Ace Attorney 5's testimony theme is in 5/4, and 6 is in 6/4. Looking forward to eventually remixing a 7/4 testimony theme (it better be 7/4, Capcom)!

It's finally happened! The Great Ace Attorney is finally releasing in the West! 
Woooooooooo! I've been sitting on this midi for a while, so I made this cover since I recently picked up Synthesia. These songs are really hard to remix since they're so good and string-filled. We'll see what else I can do with them!

Naruhodo Ryuunosuke ~ Objection! 2015 - Multi Piano Cover

"But what is faith without doubt?"

This one took a while, but I'm proud of it. I didn't think my last arrangement of this track did it *ahem* justice, so here we go again! I'm starting to move towards what I'm looking for in these remixes. This bad boy has a lot of references to my old remix, as well as Dhurke's theme. I'd like to see this incorporated into his next theme, as this is what I'd imagine it could sound like. I probably could have chosen a better picture, but I really love the 3DS remake art.

Apollo Justice ~ A New Chapter of Trials 2021 Ace Attorney Remix Prediction

I overlooked this one - a very good ending theme. It reminds me of a bitter farewell. Trying to branch out my style as always, so let me know how I did with this one.

Justice For All - End Ace Attorney Remix

I just finished the first Great Ace Attorney game, so here's the theme of everyone's favorite samurai lawyer! This is an arrangement made by me for piano. I usually do this for most of my remixes before I make them. This time, I'm uploading the piano version! Let me know if you like it, as I could record my arrangements for other previous songs. This one is a bit simple and easy to play. 

I'm loving Ace Attorney Chronicles so far, please don't leave any spoilers in the comments! On to the next game for me.

Asogi Kazuma ~ A Samurai with a Mission - Ace Attorney Piano Arrangement

Here we go! 
Sorry, I'm late! Both for Ace Attorney's 20th Anniversary, and a certain channel reaching 500 subscribers... but there's still time to celebrate right? 

This is honestly my favorite song in the entire series. Everything about it makes you feel like you're on the cusp of epiphany. It's just such a good way to transition into the pursuit theme proper. I think I did it justice here, and this is one of my favorite things I've made thus far. I've been super busy recently, hopefully one day I'll start uploading more consistently. I have another project I put on hold for this as well.

Overture To Pursuit ~ Omen 2017

Whew, this came out later than expected, but I got to time it with the release of the remakes! This has been one of my favorite gym leader themes, but I've always felt it could use a little bit more. In my opinion it's the bass that makes this song, so I made it stand out more. Interestingly, the official remake of this song doesn't do that (still really good though). Let me know what you think of this one!

Battle! Sinnoh Gym Leader - Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Remix

“Why should I pull any punches?”   Here we are! Thank you for 600 subs! This has definitely taken the most effort out of any of my remixes - big shoutout to IschmarVI for providing a midi of the song! I only realized this after it was halfway done, but it greatly sped up making the latter half of the song. This pursuit theme really grew on me, and I love the elements that Overture to Pursuit takes from it. The two flow together really well, so keep an eye out for a video that connects them soon. Like the overture, I really went full orchestra on this. It’s hard to make a midi orchestra sound in any way convincing, so I hope you like it! I drew from the few different versions of this song. I think there’s a reason there aren’t a whole lot of DGS remixes out there - the composition is complicated! I was even going to add more to this piece but my computer straight up started running out of memory - I used up too many tracks. So that’s my excuse for staying close to the source material again this time! I love the countermelodies in this song. I used a lot of panning and balancing to make all of the parts mesh together. I also boosted the supporting strings featured in overture at 2:14 to have an explosive lead-in to the finish.   Again, thanks for listening! Let me know what you think.

Pursuit 2015 ~ The Great Turnabout Great Ace Attorney Remix/Arrangement

And here we are! 

This was a lot harder to make than I thought it'd be - had a lot of processing errors. I fixed a small lyrical error in Overture to Pursuit, and pretty much rebalanced/mixed everything in Pursuit 2015. So here is my definitive version of both songs! I love this transition - this is one of my best videos for sure. Gone are the days of the blender audio visualizer - I think this one looks much cleaner and more professional. Honestly, don't know why I stuck with the old one for so long.

Made this one for a very nice request! I'm calling this an arrangement rather than a remix because it sticks very close to the original (I can't help it, sometimes it's too fun to see how close I can get), however I do think it still sounds unique. As usual, I add more parts to the second loop so listen closely - you'll probably recognize them.

A Cornered Heart - Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice Orchestral Arrangement

Let's show them a thing or six!

This is my favorite song in Xenoblade 3 - still haven't finished the game yet, but it's such a fun track. Observe my strategy - I used my thinking muscles for this one. I focused on making this playable, though there are a lot of tricky lefthand jumps. There are a couple sections which have an added part - those notes are marked orange and aren't meant to be played in a solo. 

I went into this one trying to improve my lefthand parts during composition, and I think I succeeded! Though I might have relied on jumps a little too often. I also tried to keep listening to the song to a minimum and keep my own take on it - I find that often times I follow the source material a little too closely. In this case though it didn't really matter since I've listened to the song a hundred times. I'm also trying to speed up my process and lose a little perfectionism so I can churn things out faster than once a month... but I ended up spending many many hours on this anyways. 

Mixing solo piano is hard! It might get too loud on max volume with earbuds, but I tried compressing and EQing the piano the best of my ability. 

That being said I'm very happy with how it turned out! I tried to give this song as much energy as I could while still keeping it playable.

Chain Attack - Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Piano Cover

Here's another one of my simple covers! The Ace Attorney victory themes really nail that sense of relief in the games. I add some of the background supporting notes in the original song in the second half of the A section  - making it much harder to play. I will get around to posting the sheet music for this and my other covers, I just have to curate them and that takes some time.

Victory! Won The Case - Piano

Oops, it's been two months. 

This is a fun little remix of one of my first compositions, Tavern Song. I kinda just threw this together so it might be rough around the edges, and the song itself is very repetitive, but I love it. Since the original found itself in a playlist we use whenever I play Red Dragon Inn, I just associate this song with the game now. It's a lot fun!

It's Trick Time. 

We got a switch version!! I swear, if you haven't played this phenomenal game now's your chance! It's coming out this summer. I meant to finish this one way earlier, but you know how it goes. Maybe sometime I'll nail down a consistent video schedule. 

I kept a lot of the old sounds in this one, because they're too iconic to keep out. It's a great main theme that I loved hearing at the end of every chapter.

Ghost Trick Phantom Detective - Main Theme Remix/Remaster

I'm feelin' fulla beans!

Oops, I disappeared for months again. Oh well, here's my favorite song from the recent Future Redeemed Xenoblade DLC! Anyone else think at this point the battle songs are getting so jammy that they almost don't fit? I love the song, but it's like we're jamming out to killing the local wildlife. But I'm not complaining. 

This was my most ambitious piano arrangement so far, and I took heavy inspiration  from @kei_piano 's arrangement for the left hand. Please give it a listen! I usually approach these arrangements to make sure they're playable, but this one I went a little wild with. It's still playable, but some parts are very difficult to pull off.

New Battle!!! - Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed Piano Cover

Ah yes, Big Time Shush, my favorite boy band. 

This is a cover I made for my partner's birthday, they like BTS a lot! I made a point play everything myself without quantization, to try and give it a performed feel. I don't really know much about BTS, but maybe some fans out there would appreciate this.

This one is a pretty faithful remaster. It went through a lot of iterations, and I tried to make a lot more original parts, but it didn't quite click in this case. In a lot of my remixes/remasters/covers/whathaveyou I try to either stick with a new theme, or make the song sound like it belongs in the original title. If I can't do that, I usually end up going with a remaster like this, which isn't all that bad. I still think it stands out from the original.

Telling the Truth 2007 - Apollo Justice Ace Attorney Remaster[Reupload]

This was by far my favorite part of these games - Nemona's champion battle theme! I've been sitting on this one for a while, thinking I would change it up a lot more - but it's been a couple of months so I figured I should upload it. This would have been a lot more difficult without @yue7507's MIDI transcription, so please take a look at it!

I always wanted this theme to be a little faster, a little crazier. So I added what I think could help the theme, and if I may be so bold, I can't hear it any other way now. I love the BPM rising and the little mix of minor Champion theme in there. I also added a couple small changes on the loop as always. This was a good exercise in picking the correct instrumentation/VSTs for the job. Please let me know what you think!

Battle! Champion Nemona - Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Remaster

Best song in the game. 

I've been working on this one for a while! I think I struck a good blend of sticking with the original and adding my own twist here. Working on this song also helped me improve my strings even further, and experiment more with brass. There are a ton of moving parts in here! 

Coming to Solm in game after the rollercoaster of the previous chapters was a nice breath of fresh air with a jammin' theme. Seriously, I don't think any other level theme comes close to comparing (barring the trial themes). In other news, it looks like we're getting close to 1K subs...

Cross Examination 2016 ~ Moderato Spirit of Justice Ace Attorney Remix Extended

7/4 is so fun. And strange. I added a lot of panning to this one, as well as the piano chords to add a more dramatic feel. For allegro, I really wanted to bring out the drama and urgency of the final case of Dual Destinies. Maybe the breaks are a little too funky, but I really like how this one came out! 

Honestly, I didn't really like this testimony theme when I first played the game way back when, but now it's one of my favorites. I just think the game doesn't use allegro as much as it should, as the moderato is very calm, bouncy and thought provoking. Sometimes the situation is a bit more dire.

I started a little work on this when I heard this song months ago in the first trailer for the collection. I decided to wait for the full song to release, and I'm glad I did! The second calmer section is such a banger. Everyone should play this trilogy for my boy. I added Phoenix and Apollo's objection themes in the second loop since the song teases them so much. Consider this my 1K Sub special! I put a lot of work into pulling this together, hope you enjoy!

This investigation theme has the strangest time signature. It's constantly changing, and I think that's part of the reason this simple theme never really gets old for me. It also reminds me a lot of the original trilogy investigation themes, which is always a plus!

The first testimony/cross examination theme from Phoenix Wright! 
My second favorite testimony theme - I never really get tired of it.

Listening to this song while pressing witnesses really made me fall in love with ace attorney. You can probably tell I love the counter melody, and I gave the regular melody a healthy dose of piano. I mean come on, if I don't have piano I'll lose my channel name. I'm trying to give as many songs as I can a special opening with an objection or otherwise, and I liked how the cross examination title scroll fit into this. These little titles were inspired by https://www.youtube.com/user/IschmarVI, who does similar things in his mashups. Give them a listen, they're all incredible, especially for studying.

Testimony ~ Moderato/Allegro Ace Attorney Remix

Justice for All's always been the odd game out, but I think everyone will agree the final case is incredible. While this track hasn't always been in my favorites as far as objection themes go, working on it made me realize it's got a lot of potential. I tried to keep each loop sounding unique, so it's not boring to listen to. This remix made me realize even a small change can keep a line interesting. I think in the future whenever I cover a looping song, I'll make sure to keep variations in there!

Phoenix Wright ~ Objection! 2002 Ace Attorney Justice for All Remix

The theme of everyone's favorite horn-headed attorney! 
I love this theme, so expect more takes on it in the future. 

Towards the end, I added some nods to Apollo's 2016 theme, and his investigation theme in dual destinies. You can probably tell I love Apollo as a character, and I'll be honest, it's probably because of his theme. The melody is so good that even if I listen to it a thousand times I'll always love it. Plus, Apollo always seemed much more upfront and honest than Phoenix was.

This one was pretty tricky to make at first, but I love how it turned out. More pokemon coming up in the future! Honestly, it's been so long since I've properly played Diamond and Pearl that I forgot how great this song was before I tackled it myself. This is probably one of the hardest ones I've done yet, especially in the intro with those erratic piano chords. I originally planned to go more on the remix side with this one, but I ended up going with more of a soft remix/remaster vibe. I always like capturing the magic of the original song, after all.

Eterna Forest - Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Remix

Maya's theme! I made this one pretty quick. I went into this one wanting to make more of a remix than I usually do - and ended up following the original very closely. Turns out when I try to do some of my favorite songs, I never want to actually change them. My favorite thing I changed here is the flourish at 0:45. Otherwise, this is more of a cover than a remix, and I named it thus. I also usually try to include something new on the loop, but nothing really clicked this time. Still, a classic great theme.

Maya Fey ~ Turnabout Sisters 2001 Ace Attorney Cover

If you're an ace attorney fan (or anyone really) and haven't played Ghost Trick, give it a shot! It has the same composer as Ace Attorney, and an incredible soundtrack/story. It's also available on androids and iphones! Anyways, enjoy what's probably my favorite track from the game.

Ghost Trick - Fate Updated ~ Variation Remix

Funny story with this one. I was just messing around with modulation, when I decided to call the song discomodulation. Disco + modulate, but also discombobulate. So I had to make it a disco song, and Miror B's theme fits the bill.
