Based in Berlin, born in London and raised in Athens, the music of Thomas Sykes is as diverse as his upbringing. Transcending genres with his own seductive blend of upbeat pop, soul and R&B, the multi-faceted artist has enjoyed considerable success over the past few years off the back of hit singles including L’Amour Toujours, Will You Ever Be Mine, Miami Deja Vu and Leave Your Loverto name just a few. Now, as he looks to conclude 2021 in true style, Sykes teams up with highly esteemed, long-standing Greek record producer Mark F. Angelo (Til' The Sun Comes Up, Es Real , Tik Tok) as the pair deliver their second stunning collaborative release to date. A beautiful, downtempo vocal cut bolstered by Angelo’s drawn out piano chords, undulating basslines and Sykes’ effortlessly soulful lyrics, Nothing Compares marks the eagerly awaited sophomore collaboration from these two musical masterminds, following the critically acclaimed release of By My Side back in May 2020. Emanating deep, melodic vibes across its duration, four-four rhythms, playful synths and subtle grooves provide the backbone of the record as Angelo and Sykes prove they’re a real force to be reckoned with.
