Hot on the heels of the A-Sides Volume 5 compilation, Enrico Sangiuliano makes his return to Drumcode with his highly anticipated EP ‘Moon Rocks’. The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. The EP encapsulates Sangiuliano’s wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the fat bass line of ‘Moon Rocks’ to the more delicate harmonies shown within the ‘Dutch Kiss’ mixes whilst ‘Ghettoblaster’ sits somewhere in between.

I met Raf Simons years ago at 10 Days Of Techno in Ghent, Belgium. He sat for hours quietly listening to me until the early hours of the morning. Afterwards I found out that he was a huge fan of my Plastikman album ‘Consumed’ and linked by our shared love of music, art and fashion we stayed in contact and developed a great collaborative friendship!
Raf recently celebrated his first collection at the helm of Calvin Klein and not only invited me to perform at the after-party but also to create a special mix for the dinner he was planning as part of the celebration. Knowing that Raf is very open-minded to the outer reaches of cerebral Electronic Music, I felt it was appropriate to create a mix that weaved through some of my favourite Techno tracks that don’t always find their way into my normal four-to-the-floor club sets.

Basti Grub is one of the big exponents of electronic music in the last years. Unique and eclectic, he has been able to reinvent himself to follow an unique and original path. Unimpressed by fads and fashion, he is always building up his own way in music and this EP called Don‚Äôt Go is an example of it. Two tracks that shows up what electronic music means to him. Fresh and robotic sounds opposed, but connected by the same links: electronic music, groove and dance. The remix is signed by the italian Dj Dep, a monster of groove that reinterpret the original track in a very different way.
