Intriguing, enigmatic and haunting. It sounds like a work by a veteran string player with years of experience writing for such ensembles. But the fact that you are a newcomer to chamber music composition who is turning out perfect pieces at Mozart-like speeds is absolutely astounding!!

The atmosphere is wonderful. If this flow is like the movement of your emotions, it feels like building a melody without resistance, focusing on one point and sliding the bow across the strings, moving forward without interruption. I felt a sense of freedom, like a natural breeze.

This movement is constantly shifting and discovering itself as it unfolds, so I didn’t assign a particular key center to this movement; it is like experiencing the world for the first time with fresh senses. It ends inconclusively, leading to the next movement.

String Trio, First Movement

Hi! My name is Megumi (my former name was “Lemon” on SoundCloud).

There is nothing more fascinating for me than not knowing what music will come out of me today!

Many of the pieces I upload here are for solo piano. (Some are performed by me, but the performances of the recent uploads are created on Staffpad app on my iPad.) My latest projects are a set of pieces for viola and piano, and 24 preludes & 24 etudes for piano. I am a classical pianist based in Canada. 
Having completed a master's degree in music theory and a doctorate in piano performance, I am currently teaching and composing. I am also learning viola for fun! I would love to meet and connect with other musicians and get to know your works!
