Stupid man, unfortunately only too present nowadays. The final triumph of a series of trivial moments. The interesting thought is that all this stuff gets lapped up by a reasonably large audience. And gets repeated when it should be left to rot in silence. That aside, I like this musical rant. All, very nicely done.

Great creation Dave, this Stupidman….we all know many of them – now they have a name.  But I’ve avoided social media from the get-go, so I probably miss much of the viciousness.

Wonderful poetry and lyrics over very meaningful chords, great work Dave!

The sarcasm is biting and barbed and the point well made.  Smart phones and the internet is air and water for Stupidman and consumes lies for then vomits out his own, and nothing quite overcomes clear thinking like someone who vomits.

It's just not funny anymore, the conspiracy theories..the hate filled blogs and social media posts..the absurd rhetoric that passes for political discussion these days
It is hard enough for people to get along as it is (for reasons that are not clear to me) but this background noise is making it impossible to survive.

The Eclectic Collective – composition

 This song began with JJ, as many of our songs do, who composed the outline on the keys, drums, and bass. He then let everyone else in on it immediately. Ken was first up to bat by laying his always cunning drums in there. After he had a beat to work with, Josh used his tree trunk of a five-string fretless bass to complete the rhythm section. Soon after, Tez and Stephen both laid their magical guitars in there. Once we had it all in the can, Stephen used his powers of production to give us a great mix.
  This one came together relatively quickly, which is a good sign that we're all enthusiastic about what we're creating. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

The unfinished journey of the lost tooth

method: first, I created a shaman-monk-version (mostly ‚Gregorian‘ voice and jaw harp) on cassette tape (this is where some of the noise - especially in the first section - derives from) and zoom r20 with a vacuum-tube pre-amp for the voice ….. all of which I then treated like a field recording sample in Samplitude - sculpting it with vst instruments and effects. 
narration: it feels like I have sonified this poem a million times before …. which might be the case because I have lived through it that often - I and others I dearly care for …. but then again … I might have actually done so. it is also part of the cycle SONIC CASCADE published in  A SINGLE LOOP OF FORTUNES. Alternative titles are ‚TWO-PLACE‘ and ‚04s SAMPLE‘. For this publication, I simplify the title to  ‚SAMPLE‘.
